Re: The News Thread
Well it'll only be for three months. During your winter break you'll need to practice driving a lot.

^ the hardest part is finding a car with adjustable seats that fit my needs =/

Re: The News Thread
umm so i can reach the pedals...and see above the steering wheel at the same time. some cars they dont go high enough and i cant see. thats part of the reason why i drive the van because the pedals come up and stuff.

Re: The News Thread
Oh I see, use some heavy dictionaries on the seat and then drop a brick on the gas.

Re: The News Thread
^ hahaha. no, but seriously, it's a problem because if i use a book or something im too tall and if i use a pillow or something im too short. im literally right in the middle. i usually have to double up the pillow but one time it came undone while i was driving...so id rather have an adjustable seat.

Re: The News Thread
Well don't most vehicles have seats like that? Most you can backwards and forward.

Re: The News Thread
^ the biggest problem is up and down, not so much forwards and backwards. we looked at a couple of cars today and there was only one that i could reach and i would still need some sort of extra seating.

Re: The News Thread
I saw this funny looking car, that sort of reminded me of a hot wheels car or some kind of kid toy. It was kinda small and round like a clowns car. I think you should get one of those.

Re: The News Thread
Yeah they look like it, they even look too cramped for anyone of any size. I just remembered seeing one every day I left home early in the morning, when I had to travel pretty far. They would always come up in this park and ride sure enough every day it seemed.

Re: The News Thread
i dont think they would be dangerous if our cars were small. they're safe in Europe because a lot of people have the Smart Cars. but here, no one really has them so if you get hit by a bigger car, you're screwed.

Re: The News Thread
Well in Europe a lot of people also travel by bus or other types of transportation. Here in the US we have larger land and not many means of professional transportation unless you live in the city and even then it's overcrowded with cars there.
I think it has less to do with big car vs. small car and more about the overpopulated streets. My old boss always said he remembered a time when he got up at six in the morning and not a single car was out but maybe one or two. Now that's prime time for rush hour.
The overpopulated streets, impatience of drivers, and poor reckless driving skills are the cause of all the accidents. People get distracted to easily while on the road now, you can see the good driver from the dumb driver. They will be talking on a cellphone, changing radio stations, applying makeup, eating, or anything in between and even scarier reading a newspaper while driving with their knees.
People always claim they can multi-task, but there's a difference when the life of others are put at stake and people can't divide attention 100% on two tasks, it's divided 50/50 and when driving that's dangerous.

Re: The News Thread
^ oh yeah, no i agree. i just meant if you have to choose between a standard sized car and a smart car, the smart car is the more dangerous of the two.

Re: The News Thread
Well that would probably be the best seating for you. If you're going to buy a car, buy a used one. If you buy a new one and soon after have to sell it, you're going to lose money.

Re: The News Thread
^ thats the other thing. you cant get used smart cars anywhere really. and i am buying a used car.
today, i went over to a friend's house and you'll never guess what they found. baby bunnies! i swear, these things are like attracted to me this year lol. so i had to run around the yard and get them because her dad was mowing the lawn. i found five in total =D.
and now i think im going up in my english class and ive read most of what we're learning about so woot, it'll just be review for me! if i choose to take the class, i have a feeling ill end up deciding at the last minute XD.

Re: The News Thread
If you can get the same amount of credits and the class can cover one of your required courses I would recommend taking it. If it is as easy as you say it will be for you, then you should. Trust me on that one, there's plenty of other classes you're going to be in. You never know how hard they all will be. Some will require more attention and work then others, so if you can lessen the odds of having all classes being just as tough and needing the same amount of attention take it.

Re: The News Thread

Re: The News Thread
Yeah if you can take an easy class, it would be a good idea to do so. This is not like high school, these courses will be tougher, or should be.
