Yeah exactly! It felt like too much of a method of suckering in fan girls. I've read some comments at different places like on Youtube and all they can talk about is how great of a couple they are. Yet there is noting common between them, in fact Ben's cousin Gwen hated Kevin in the original.

Plus when they become teenager they seemed to lose all those funny and great personality qualities that they had during the first series. I don't know how quite to explain there new characters except that they're just meh. You know how a lot of people say the Twilight series characters lacked real personalities (I only heard, never read the book) this is how I see the new series.

The only one who actually seems to have some personality still is Ben, because he's still comical like his younger self, but he loses too much of it.

i dont mind them being together but i want to know HOW they got together.

that was why i didnt like Zuko and Mai we never saw HOW they became a couple. they just were suddenly. which is stupid.

Well they weren't in the beginning of the first episode. See this is what happens (it was an hour long episode due to the premiere)

Fastforward through all the sappy crap, to the point where Ben finally reattaches his alien device. It is now stuck on him again.

Something happens to where he and Gwen come across a steel yard or something. Anyway Kevin is there selling alien technology to criminals. Tech that can obliterate people, buildings, and cities.

After a fight between him and Ben, the bad guys sneak away with his tech (without paying) Then he's like yeah I'll help you cause they stole my stuff.

Then Gwen's like "That's so hot." Yeah it's dumb. Ben takes a little while longer in the episode to like Kevin, but it's just too forced. It could had worked, had they worked on it more, but no.

yeah, that sounds stupid.

Oh hey, I just realized that I first watched the original Dragon Ball dubbed in the late 1980s. Well it was probably a little later, but I knew that Dragon Ball always seemed familiar when I saw it again in the early 2000's. Granted this dub version only lasted for the first five episodes.

Funimation has confirmed that they're going to have and have already recorded the next 2 seasons. I just wanted to confirm that even if no one cares and since you're watching it now! By the time you get to there, they'll probably be out and cheap.

This is the season that everyone claims is good, for reasons I don't know. I'd rather see then read.

Regarding One Piece, two characters remind me of Ai and Ryuzaki. Kaya and Clardore. You'll have to watch Ussop's arc to understand.
