Re: Anime
So did you preorder the second set from the library? If you're interested, they're combining the series into two box sets now, starting with the first two sets.
So it's like $25, which isn't bad.

If you want it, preorder it now. It will probably change in price closer to the release date. I've seen dvds do that.

Re: Anime
So how have you been enjoying One Piece? I forgot to mention that the end of the second boxset stops halfway during another Arc, right when things start to heat up lol. Get used to it though, they do that with every boxset, but it makes sense.
It'll keep customers glued. If you end every Arc on one set, then you might lose a potential customer who feels they don't need to see the next Arc. If you got one that's finishing and one that starts, but ends halfway through on one set, then they're likely to want more.

Re: Anime
Can't you just renew them? I mean that's a lot of episodes for both seasons to watch...I don't think you can really appreciate either by binging them.

Re: Anime
^ no you can't. they only allow one week then you can try to renew them but if someone else wants them, you have to bring it back. at least with the DVDs that are from my library. and with One Piece, because it's from another library, id have to have them send it off to the library and then send it back to me. it's really stupid.
i dont know if Modern Family is from my library but even if it is, i have to try and finish it because the second season just ended so im almost positive everyone's going to try to snag a copy of season one like with what happened with LOST.
ive done this before with LOST though so i can do it. and One Piece is addicting as heck.

Re: Anime
I know you've done it before, but what is that? Like three or more episodes per day. I normally just watch an episode and save some for later. That way I can appreciate them more, but I guess I get that benefit because I own the set.

Re: Anime
even when i own the set, i usually power through them lol. i cant help it, i do that with everything: books, tv shows, movies, games, etc.

Re: Anime
Really? I see it as like a really tasty piece of food. If I eat that constantly, I'm going to grow tired of it's taste, because I ruined it. So I don't do that with shows either, because I would rather sample it slowly, like the food.

Re: Anime
Well as long as you don't kill your One Piece experience. It's a great show to dislike it so early on, due to constant binging on the episodes lol, but if that doesn't matter, enjoy!

Re: Anime
yeah no, it doesnt matter with me. actually, i hate waiting for the next part of something. it drives me crazy lol.
i think it doesnt matter how i watch it, One Piece is addicting either way =p

Re: Anime
There are a few filler arcs, which don't last very long, but I would recommend watching them.

Re: Anime
i feel like One Piece is the type of story that can have filler arcs and get away with it.

That's because they're not setting out for something in particular, just a grand adventure.

Re: Anime
Even though the rainbow mist is a filler, it's a very interesting one. It's the episode that I told you about where the group gets stuck in an endless time vortex. You'll really like that one.
