Early suggestions

Yeah no problem, take your time. I should add that if you're hoping to make it as complex, detailed, and fleshed out as our main RP before even posting or starting it, it probably won't happen.

ATLB (Avatar The Lost Book) to shorten it now, wasn't very detailed, fleshed out, or complex in the beginning. It only slowly progressed that way, until the part where I took over and started fixing up things. Even then it was still a little rickety.

So don't feel hesitant to just make some RPs at the spur of the moment, those sometimes do just as well as the complex ones. Sometimes you want serious and organized and other times you might want goofy/serious with a little randomness to it.

That's kind of vague though. There are so many different Disney pieces. I probably wouldn't want to do it either, but your gang idea I'm game for.

We could also try a detective game, where it focuses more on the authority, instead of the gangster one you're coming up with. That way we have one of each. With the detective idea, like I said, we could take turns making up the mystery, and bad guys if there are any.

Sometimes it could just be a scene that needs to be concluded or maybe there is a culprit that needs to be found out while figuring out what happened as well.

the Disney one i was just thinking of a Disneyland esque one where you'd be any disney character and interact in a world where all the disney characters are together. it was totally random.

my only issue with the detective one is im not good at coming up with mysteries. i just solve them =p.

So? You never know until you try. It's just a game, it's not like your life or some grade depends on this.

That's fine, trial and error. Everyone has to go through it.

Cloppen puppet? Isn't he from Disney? I don't think that a detective RP and whatever he is from would crossover very well.

A thought has recently occurred to me (FYI I'm still doing research on this RP. I've got a pretty good idea of the story but I need the clues to go with it). I have most of the characters down...just have to do bios and give them last names =p

Anyway, my thought is this: what do we do when the person doesn't figure out the mystery? Like, how does a person know when they've solved it or what happens if you can't figure it out?

I'm just wondering what a basic plan of attack should be if the person can't figure it out. Does the RP suddenly stop and the real answer is revealed?

Maybe there is the true clues and true crook and then you also have fake clues and an innocent person who is wrongfully taken as the criminal. You got to figure that one out on your own. I mean you are free to do whatever you want.

Or you can just have it where the criminal gets away and the good guys lose.

i have a pretty good idea how it's going to work clue-wise.

and no, there will be no 'fake crook who is leading on to being the real crook but really isn't' cliche in this RP =p. i hate that cliche personally so im not going to use it XD

i was just wondering how we would do that...but since i can do whatever i want, i have some ideas.

I don't mean someone who looks like a creepy bastard and you automatically assume it to be him.

Let me give you an example from LA Noire of course :P

In one of the death scenes, some guy walks out into the street at night and gets hit by a car. The driver speeds away from the scene. So you have some clues to check out, which can lead to two options.

You can eventually hunt down the driver and arrest him or another hidden culprit. They are the actual murderer because they stab him before he walks onto the street. The man staggers into the street seemingly drunk, but it's because he was hurt.

See? The one dude was just a scared driver who was at the wrong place.

But wouldn't you know automatically that you're looking for someone who stabbed the guy since his body would have a stab wound on it? Or is that one of the clues?

There was a hood ornament which protruded him, so they weren't looking for that clue.

Good news, (About time right?) I got a lot edited out of the first trial chapter. I might actually shorten it so that it doesn't take so long. That way you'll have new and fresh chapters earlier.

I got a little more done last night. It's hard trying to reorganize this part (into what it originally was supposed to be) Karin made it a little bit whacky with all the characters she introduced all at once.

So don't be surprised if not all of them are present here.

so you don't want to be a private detective but probably one that is already working on the force or just starting out, correct?

I'll be either, it doesn't matter to me. I can always work up a story for the character. Is there one you would rather have me be?

i don't mind which one. but i'll have to rework the story a little if you're going to be part of the police force. i only really watch the 'private eye/not really part of the police force' mysteries so it might take some time. just let me know :)

You can have it where there are a few detectives and one of them is an upstart, like I said.
