Oh hey LS, I thought I'd let you know this. You should probably hold off on buying a Wii, because the next gen-console is coming out in two months.

It's called the Wii-U, not sure if it's backward compatible though. As far as I know, only one worthwhile game is coming out with it's release on November 18th (Super Mario U) or something like that.

I had heard about this a year back, but didn't keep updated and only now realized it finally had a release date, which is very soon lol.

Also hold off on buying it this year, because most have already been pre-ordered for the Christmas holiday and the ones that aren't are extremely expensive. Retail will be about $200/300. I remember when Wii came out, it had this same problem where more of the system didn't come out until like way into the next year.

I don't think it matters much this time around, because there doesn't look to be many games being released in 2012 at all.

Yeah, I know about the Wii U. Quite frankly, not really sure if I'm excited for it or not.

That's about as likely as waiting for a good Banjo Kazooie game. They promosed a Banjo Threeie (or the third game) and then they go and turn it into a racing car game...

After 24 years Nintendo is shutting down it's main magazine Nintendo Power. I just thought I'd let you know. My cousin and I used to buy those all the time. Which is great that I held onto them, because maybe they'll be worth something later on. At least the older issues for the late 1980s might be worth something.

If you see one of them in a yardsale and in good condition, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to buy it. That's how we got our 1980s issues.

Yeah my cousin and I would go yardsale hunting for the magazines lol. We found the first issue that way :P
