Re: A Heads Up
I wish the forumotion support forums had a place where you could get feedback. The only thing they have is a review your forum thing.
And they don't even really help tell you what to do or what could be done. They either say its good or sucks.

Re: A Heads Up
maybe if you get a different person they'll be more in depth?

Re: A Heads Up
To review my forum? I suppose I could, but I'd rather them have some type of category where people can post and get answers. That would be so much easier and helpful if you ask me.

Re: A Heads Up
Tweaking the forum a little. The recent topic widget is in the portal section. It always looked ugly smacked here. Going to work on the layout and see if I like it better afterwords instead of changing the colors constantly.

Re: A Heads Up
I had a realization. I could direct links to our portal. It was then that I thought, hey people probably want to see some content before checking our site out.
The different categories are organized nicely sure, but they'd still need to go through all of them to see what was written. Here they can see a sample of our forum.
Still working on it. I think we need a nice background wallpaper (that's the borders) which isn't dull or too gaudy...got any ideas?
Also I think we need some different colors that are more engaging. If they are blue sure whatever, they just seem a tad dull right now.

Re: A Heads Up
I feel like the most successful websites have a single color as the background.

Re: A Heads Up
Not for these forums LS, they operate differently. Or so I've noticed. Anyway can you provide me a list of links to the ones your referring to?

Re: A Heads Up
So what would you say we should approach our colors with? It helps to look at some of them, but we need to think what colors we should use.

Re: A Heads Up
No I'm fine with them...maybe. I don't know, I can't put my finger on what exactly I dislike. It's not like something I completely hate, but there feels like something is unfinished. What do you think the majority would like?

Re: A Heads Up
i have no idea what the majority would like.
i think they would like either a blue, green, red, or tan scheme and whatever color scheme you choose should follow the name of the site. basically, it should be something that matches one of the four elements.
itd be kind of cool if we could somehow get it where the Earth Kingdom pages are green, the FN ones are red, etc.

Re: A Heads Up
I don't know about the different colors, that would be too much I think. We'd need to settle for one color only or palette. I've seen a lot of people do that black and darker blue forum layout, like the one link you've provided.

Re: A Heads Up
yeah, i just tend to not like darker colors. but thats just me.

Re: A Heads Up
Why is that? These colors seem a bit more intense on the eyes if you ask me. When I check out the other forums they're not as intense and more calm. Even though they have darker colors. Maybe that detracts guests?
