Angrily the beast growled furiously as the small rock like concrete chunk bumped off its scaled head. Slowly it began to approach Quiver, ripping a transformer box out of the ground. Sparks shot out everywhere, due to the electrical discharge. With the box in hand, it crushed it completely, before tossing the thin frisbee like metal into Quiver's path.

With the behemoth's attention now onto Quiver once again, Lunar Knight calibrated his flame torches. With them ready he quickly lunged onto one of the transformer boxes, and twisted his wrists upright, which triggered two flames to shoot straight into the metal arrow.

As the flames continued, the metal grew hotter with each passing second. The fuel in each flame was running low, as the flow of the fire grew shorter and shorter...until nothing was left. Fortunately it had done its job, even if the rock-like structure of the beast remained the same, the metal of the arrow was now cherry red.

Quiver ducked as the metal disk came flying towards her. She was just about ready to dodge another attack but then saw that the arrow she had implemented was working.

Since Quiver had done her job, in distracting the beast, Lunar Knight was able to heat the metal tip of the arrow to extreme measures. However, it wouldn't be doing anything by itself, as it still remained where it was when the beast pierced it into itself previously.

The hotter the tool, the more quickly it would enter and penetrate the skin, no matter how thick. With that in mind, Lunar Knight launched his last disc projectile into the arrow's path, bashing and pushing it further into the beast's skin.

It plunged in quickly, the metal and poison coursing more quickly through the beast's inner-skin of the hand. Allowing an irritated growl, from the pain, the behemoth flinched and squeezed its palm. Although its vision had blurred and it was becoming more sluggish, it was not down by any count.

Quiver pulled out the vines she had tried the last time. Only now, with his more sluggish behavior, she expected this to work this time around. With that in mind, she shot an arrow with the vine attached across where the beast was walking and pulled tightly on the other end.

As the beast staggered forward from the painful consecutive attacks, a vine stretched out latching onto the sides of two transformers where it was heading. So that it couldn't see the plan and was more disoriented, Lunar Knight launched another one of his flash bombs into its face.

The smoke and fiery explosion engulfed its entire head, as its head flung back and groaned. It quickly move forwards, catching onto the vine, before toppling over onto its stomach. Such an impact shook the entire ground tremendously.

Quiver nearly lost her balance as the ground shook. But once she regained her bearings, she cautiously approached the beast. She was still armed should she need to do anything more.

As she approached him, she looked around for any sign of the terrorists from before.

As the smoke and dust began to clear, a behemoth laid stomach first on the concrete ground of the electric plant. The erratic buzzing continued, but even that didn't prove to be as chaotic as this once rampaging beast.

It groaned irritatingly, as Lunar Knight and Quiver began to inspect its state. However, suddenly its growl grew louder, it was a completely different bark then that of the docile beast they had just toppled onto the ground. It seemed to have had its second wind, or perhaps being pushed around agitated it too much.

Whatever it was, the behemoth pushed itself upright once more, furiously screaming madly, with its limbs flailing about. Lunar Knight almost didn't have the time to dodge one of its rampaging fists, which made short work of a transformer box, and the concrete ground, which supported it.

Quiver jumped back and ducked as the beast seemed to go on a full rampage. It's other arm was inches away from knocking her to the ground. Once Quiver was out of the way, she looked back up at the beast.

Well, this was certainly unexpected.

"Damn, not again." Lunar Knight groaned, as he rolled and leapt out of the way of another fist and flying wreckage. I'm down to my last projectile, my flame fuel is completely depleted, the hand to hand combat blades are too dulled to be much use, leaving only two flash bombs left.

"How many arrows do you have left?" He asked quiver, as he readied his two last bombs and projectile, hoping to make them count. "If you can get one in his mouth, we might have a chance!" Furiously the behemoth continued to roar, as its rampage ensued.

"Two," Quiver said, not even looking back at her quiver. "But that's more than enough."

She took one of her arrows out and cautiously began to approach the beast and wait for the right moment. When she saw his mouth open, she took a fire arrow and shot it directly in.

In its rampage and defiance, the behemoth roared loudly, elongated it to express the anger that was currently embroiling in it. If this went on any longer, this abandoned electric plant being trashed would be the least of anyone's concern.

Roaring loudly and stretching its arms outwards, a fire arrow whizzed in its direction. It was a clean and accurate mark, ready to penetrate the soft skin inside its body. Unfortunately a shot echoed from behind, which broke the arrow in two, and sent it off course.

The shattered pieces twirled and tumbled elsewhere, no longer of any use. Immediately Lunar Knight noticed a terrorist with a machine gun, who had accurately shot down Quiver's second to last arrow. Quickly he launched his last projectile, in frustration, and into the terrorist, taking him down instantly.

"Damn it." He muttered irritably, before readying his last smoke bomb, and ensuring that the rope of his grapples were still secured. Quickly he shot the smoke bomb into the beast's face again, causing its head to lunge back, as it coughed and gagged.

With the two grapple ropes, he latched both sharp ends in the top jaw of the behemoth, locking it in tightly, and pulling with all his might from behind the beast. It was their last chance, he would do everything in his power to ensure that this beast's mouth remained open long enough for Quiver's last arrow. "Hurry up!" He shouted, as he strained to maintain both the ropes.

Quiver was already way ahead of him: as soon as she saw her arrow had been compromised, she readied her last arrow. With the flames surrounding its tip, she got as close as she possibly could without ruining her chance of missing.

As soon as Lunar Knight was ready and the beast's mouth was open, she fired.

With their final arrow and chance, both Lunar Knight and Quiver placed all their cards into one last strategy. Straining to keep the behemoth's mouth opened long enough, the arrow zipped towards it. However, a human is no match for a beast, when it comes to brute strength.

As soon as it regained its bearings, the behemoth grabbed the two ropes and grapples pulling its mouth upwards, and squeezed them tightly together. When the arrow entered its mouth, it snapped its jaw immediately, catching it between its teeth.

Even though the bursting flares and heat were intense and painful, it did not penetrate any shot skin inside the beast. It snapped in two, between its teeth, coming short of doing any serious harm. Furiously it yanked the ropes upwards and in front of itself, causing Lunar Knight to be thrown along as well.

Fortunately his grapple ropes were detachable at the end of the shoulder blades, which he quickly put to good use. As soon as they came undone, he tumbled into a nearby transformer box.

As Quiver saw her arrow become smashed to bits and Lunar Knight tumbling into a transformer box, she realized she had shot an arrow into one of the electric power boxes before.

Quiver looked over to where the box was. While keeping a watch on the beast, Quiver started to move towards where the box was. She only hoped it was still in tact.

With one trickle of hope left, Quiver placed her last chance in one full basket. With her new plan in action, Lunar Knight who recovered rather well from the landing, regained his bearings, and unsheathed his double blades.

Although most of his arsenals were practically depleted, he still had his hand-to-hand combat blades. He hurriedly rushed to Quiver's front side, where the rampaging beast was, in hopes of aiding her with protection while she hatched this new plan of hers.

Quiver ran to the box. She could see the arrow sticking out. The sight of the arrow only caused her to run faster until she finally reached it.

Quiver grabbed the arrow; forceful enough to pull it out quickly but delicate enough not to break or further damage it. She readied her bow and spun around, expecting the beast to either be right behind her or close enough. She waited this time: she was taking no chances. She waited for the beast to be as close as possible, for its mouth to be open, before firing the arrow.

Furiously the behemoth stomped its foot into the ground, sending a shock-wave, which sent Lunar Knight off of his feet. As he maneuvered and dodged the beast's kicks and punches, which tore through the currently buzzing and running transformer boxes, Quiver managed to regain her last arrow.

It slowly turned to meet eye to eye with the archer, growling and mumbling, before slowly approaching its next prey.

Quiver instinctively backed away. However, she then held her ground, remembering what she had to do. The creature was fast approaching but she remained firm.

She expected it to take a swing at her. When it did, she rolled out of the way but she rolled forward. Her bow and arrow were still ready. As it opened its mouth, with herself inches away from him, Quiver fired.

With her final arrow, Quiver placed everything in one final move, and to her success the arrow plunged directly into the behemoths mouth. It smacked right into the back, piercing the softer skin and tissue inside.

However, Lunar Knight and Quiver's plan was all for nothing, as the beast growled angrily, with an arrow piercing and sticking within its insides. Although it bled and was indeed painful, it wasn't enough to decommission this beast.

With quite enough fight left in it, the behemoth scooped Quiver into its hand, rising it above, simply squeezing tight enough to cause no serious damage to the archer.

As she was lifted into the air, Quiver struggled to try and get out of the beast's grip. But she was being held too tight and even if she had weapons, the beast currently had her arms in this tight grip as well.

With Quiver grasped tightly, the behemoth was ready and willing to snap the archer in two. Having groggily regained his bearings, Lunar Knight obtained his grapples and some currently running power cables in an attempt to harm the beast. Or at the very least, enough time to free Quiver.

A loud peculiar sound echoed from beyond the horizon. It didn't quite sound like an explosion, but there wasn't any other way to describe it. Immediately it caught Lunar Knight's attention briefly. A large dust cloud formed, heading their direction. It was small and narrow in shape, as if a large snake making its way towards this spot.

It reached them within seconds, a forceful wind blowing strong gusts of dust throughout the electric power plant. Lunar Knight had little time to react to this all, except to cover himself from the series of events.

Without explanation and warning, the behemoth growled annoyingly. It winced as if in pain, before releasing and dropping Quiver quickly. A series of bursts of wind blew forth nearby the beast, each time it jerked and jolted, as if being painfully tormented.

Suddenly the behemoth dropped on its knees and then its stomach, landing its face coldly onto the concrete flooring. With a thunderous echo, it was down and unconscious. Given only a few moments to assess the confusing situation, a peculiar figure zipped atop the behemoth's back, before a series of whipping winds blew into their direction.

Standing triumphantly atop this downed beast was a familiar speedster. Yet there was something different, with the costume he wore. No longer was it yellow or hodgepodge in design. It seemed more like a uniform should be, more professional. Everything was black, with hints of yellow.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sa2jYn3LmlE

OOC: To get a better idea of his costume design, just Google these images. Monarch Butterfly Venture Bros for previous and then Red Flash (but black being main and yellow being trim and such.)

And yes this is the ending, so no need for posts.

It was late: the part of the night that was prime for a variety of illegal and sometimes dangerous activities. It was also one of those nights that was unusually warm for the time of year. It wasn't an unpleasant warmth nor was it even warm by summer's standards. But it was still warmer than usual, a sign that spring was perhaps a lot closer than most people thought.

Down the street of a middle-class neighborhood, an empty building stood. It was sandwiched in between shops that were still in business but closed for the night. The building wasn't particularly old or torn down. In fact, it was fairly new to the string of closed shops that had been occurring throughout the city of Little Springs.

But in and around this building, trouble was stirring as various shadows moved about their motives unknown.

With the night life of Little Springs beginning, it was the prime time for criminals and innocent entertainment alike. As always Jet was inside his favorite burger shack, which wasn't as packed as it normally is, as he enjoyed kicking back with a nice juicy triple-decker supreme burger.

One of these was more then enough to feed a grown man, so he obviously ordered three of them, as well as two buckets of fries, and two king sized sodas. He wouldn't mind getting refills, but they had to ban that when they met this customer.

The crime could wait, at least for a little while longer. Jet needed his midnight snack. As his order came and he paid for it, he anxiously and hungrily chowed down into his first burger, before devouring half a bucket of fries, and engulfing a third of his first soda in moments. "Mmm, so good!" He mumbled in between his chews.

Elsewhere, Quiver was busy patrolling. But the streets she was currently investigating were quiet and so she took this time to work on something that was unavoidable: homework. Using the street lights, she read a book and jotted down what notes she could. Her assignment was due tomorrow.

In the abandoned building, the shadows continued to move about. But something else was happening as well.

Another group of shadows was moving to the same building. Though, these shadows were clearly not used to the dark as they shuffled about. A few tripped over various things laying on the floor which would easily be heard by anyone in the nearby area. And another figure got the bright idea to turn on a flashlight of some sort.

The light shone through the building.

Having inhaled his food and drinks with inhuman speed, Jet was surrounded by various wrappers, empty buckets and cups, which held only crumbs and droplets left. As he leaned back in the chair, he patted his full stomach, before using a toothpick for its intended purpose, and burping to indicate a meal worthy of his appetite.

Just then, as he was finished almost every bit, two police cars dashed by the diner. He had a clear view of their flashing and screaming sirens, through a large glassed window, before they zipped off in the night's darkness. With a small grin, Jet slowly rose from his seat, before dusting himself off. "Well looks like duty calls!"

Immediately he dashed by, leaving only a yellowish blur behind, before returning seconds later to clean up his trash with the same superhuman speed, and then took pursuit once again.
