ATLA COMICS
I just saw this announcement:
http://www.wired.com/geekdad/2011/02/avatar-the-last-airbender-from-dark-horse-and-nickelodeon/
basically, it says they're going to be releasing never before seen/out-of-print comics that never made it to Nick Magazine and it will continue the gaang's adventures.

Re: ATLA COMICS
Yeah I heard about that. It's going to be another art book full of images, another series about the gangs adventure after the war ends (which I can't see how entertaining that will be, unless they have some pockets of defiant Fire Nation extremists who refuse to lay down arms), and another series set for 2012...I think.

Re: ATLA COMICS
Yeah, no doubt about that. I'd also like to know about the Iroh spirit world trip thing and what happened to Smellerbee and Longshot. I know Jet died, but I don't think they did...so I just want closure lol.

Re: ATLA COMICS
I wish those comics that came in the five episode dvd box sets were sold altogether in a bundle. I remember when I bought the season 2 sets and one of them didn't come with a comic. It even claimed it was supposed to, such bull crap.

They should have all the comics in the book as well as more art related to the series.

Re: ATLA COMICS
So, after months and month of having this item on the library's database without any library actually having it, it is FINALLY available!
I ordered it today but I'm not sure if it's too new or not. If it's too new, I have to wait 4-6 weeks to get it which is what I have to do with the Promise Part 1.
If it's really good, I think I might be able to get it and it'll be covered by the insurance company since I have/had a good chunk of the comics that are in it in the magazine form....but I was supposed to get rid of those cause it's paper....so technically I'd think I'd be able to get it....but I'm still not sure.
I kept the comics anyway in a plastic bag just in case :p

Re: ATLA COMICS
I'm confused, so you found the Lost Adventure book in the library and you're going to take it from them, by using your house which was partially burned to acquire it from them?
I mean that's great and all if that's what you're trying, but you seemed to change subjects halfway through, and I wasn't sure if you were talking about the same thing.

Re: ATLA COMICS
No.
1. The library has the Lost Adventures. I'm borrowing it from the library.
2. I might be able to buy my own copy of the Lost Adventures because I lost a majority of the comics that are in the Lost Adventures in the fire. However, you can't re-buy what I originally had (i.e. the Nick Magazines) so I think I'm allowed to buy the Lost Adventures where the insurance company will pay for it.

I wouldn't count your chickens just yet though. It would be great if you were able to obtain a free copy, but if you're not, it's about seven dollars now. Maybe less, so it's not too expensive, if it's your only option.

Re: ATLA COMICS
Did you get it yet or is it still being delivered to the library or something? Here's the Amazon link, it's close to eight dollars, but still not a bad price. A lot of the stripes actually tell in detail what happened after Aang was supposedly killed.

Re: ATLA COMICS
Oh! You'll really like the majority of them. There's even one that focuses on The Duke and others, which is really funny.

Re: ATLA COMICS
I believe the one where Azula tries to get Mai and Zuko together is in there as well, correct? I thought that one was kind of funny...should have been an episode in my opinion.

Re: ATLA COMICS
I think I remember that vaguely, it had an odd style to it, but I can't remember much. I'd have to go find and read it again to remember anything.

It was odd, but not bad. It was a different take on the series.

Re: ATLA COMICS
^ i didnt meant to imply it was bad. i was just confirming the odd part. i think almost the entire magazine that that comic was in was done by the same person. and im pretty sure that's the fan who got a job because of her popular dA page.
but i could be wrong.
