to be make this as easy to understand as possible, Alice switches her height throughout the story of Alice in Wonderland. this can happen by her eating things such as mushrooms or small treats in the White Rabbit's house to drinking a bottle that says "Drink me". The point is, Hatter is a human and Alice is a human so they are relatively the same height when Alice is her normal size. you see Alice and Hatter standing side by side at the end of the trailer.
