One Piece; The Great Pirate Era

Flying through the air, Captain Whiskey met the platform furiously. Bowing the stage from his weight and strength, he threw a devastating punch straightly into Hawkins, not once missing a beat. "Watch your tongue pirate!"

Elsewhere the Marines reluctantly aimed their rifles at Anais, part of their Captain Whiskey's orders, before several fired some shots. The bullets whizzed past the swinging rope, one bullet able to scrape across her dress.

Blood got low to the ground and swiped kicked Whiskey with the bottle still in his hand.

"I said wait, damn it." He then got up and moved away from Whiskey as much as possible as he started to chug the bottle. When he was finished, he wiped his mouth.

Fluidly they leapt above Hawkins leg sweeping motion, and safely landed. "Don't you damned pirates take anything seriously!?" Captain Whiskey barked, this time side swinging a powerful punch into Hawkins shoulder.

Regaining his bearings, Flint shook his head, and the excess water and glass spilled off, as he stared above at the girl and firing Marines. "Take care of drunky, he's in your element." He remarked, "I'll get this." He stated, as some of the Marines were firing at them to. However they were merely stray shots, piercing loudly through the wooden platform.

Suddenly he lunged forward, springing upwards with tremendous speed and force. Shocked at this power, the Marines gasped in a daze momentarily, until they aimed at his decreasing speed and altitude. Despite their quantity of shots, the bullets simply flew by, not even close from hitting its intended target.

Instead Flint flung himself upright, so that he was facing upward in mid-ascent, to where Anais was swinging dangerously towards a group of Marines.

Blood put out his arm in order to block the incoming attack aimed at his neck and face. At the same time, he slammed the bottle in his hand on the Marine Captain's head.

Flying upwards, with his back to the ground, Flint caught Anais through his arms, before the two flew higher upwards, pass the platform's structure, and frame work. "Got you!" Flint exclaimed, as Anais was even more terrified of this devil fruit power in motion, then the predicament she was once in. "Wh-what are you!?"

Shocked the Marines attempted to keep up with their guns, but they were moving too fast, and this time the shots fired were nowhere near close at all.

Trailing upwards with them, was the rope that Anais was holding, which Flint accidentally latched onto as well. Once they reached the materials stretching point, it tugged their forceful ascent to an abrupt halt, and there was only one way to go from there.

Although the bottled shattered across his face, the Marine Captain Whiskey didn't seem to flinch in the slightest. Instead he went in for the attack, after scowling from Hawkins choice of action, and quickly slipped through his front, completely missing any attack Hawkins would had thrown at him, and immediately appeared behind his back. Without rest, he spun quickly, and landed a a blow to the pirate's head.

Blood fell back upon impact. Rubbing his head, he stared at the Marine Captain, frowning all the way. It seemed no matter how hard his punches were, the Captain remained un-phased. Either he'd have to conserve his energy and wait for the captain to lose strength or he'd have to find some sort of weakness.

Seeing as there were Marines all over the damn place, waiting it out didn't seem like an option. Still, he wasn't willing to take the initiative in terms of attacking this clearly strong opponent.

"I'm a pirate!" Flint exclaimed to Anais words of worrisome. However, despite his rescue attempt, they were nowhere away from danger. Several Marines had already began to better elevate and aim their rifles, several shots almost hitting the two.

Shrieking and cowering into Flint's jacket, Anais held on for dear life. "They're trying to kill me!" Angrily Flint frowned. Of course they were trying to kill him, but her to? They were really stooping low now. Furiously he whipped out his makeshift tubular contraption, aiming, and then firing it. "What is wrong with you!? She's on your team!" Flint exclaimed, as his bullet zipped straight into one of the Marine's barrels. It caused the entire musket to explode immediately, as the Marine was taking aim. Taken aback from the explosion, the soldier fell backwards completely, yet there were still several others with perfect rifles, aiming at the two.

"So you see the futility of fighting and living." Marine Captain Whiskey stated, stared at Hawkins defiance. "So why not just give up already, pirate." He remarked, his last word with so much hatred involved. However Hawkins did not seem to comply, so with a wicked smile, he pulled out another bottle of whiskey.

"I was hoping you wouldn't quit." He said, drinking it entirely and quickly, before his muscles grew larger. "Now I get to use my third alcohol level on you."

As Blood saw Whiskey taking out the bottle and drinking it for another power up, Blood rushed towards him and punched him in the chest area. He was not aiming to necessarily hurt Whiskey but rather to destroy whatever bottles were left under his coat.

Under his uniform, the distinct sound of shattering glass echoed, followed by a peculiar smelling and wet liquid soaking and dribbling out of his cloth. He didn't seem too angered by this motion, as he stared and smiled wickedly at Hawkins.

"Such a waste." He remarked, shaking whatever glass was inside, out of his uniform. Taking several steps backwards, he threw his foot into the ground, and a piece of the platforms plank came undone. The nails securing it into the supports popped out, and the board was no longer bound. Grabbing this extremely long wooden board, he ripped it away from the remaining nails, and furiously swung it into Hawkins side.

Blood backed away as Whiskey shook out whatever glass pieces he had. He then ducked the incoming attack. As it passed by him, Blood then got up and kicked down upon the board. The board broke in half upon impact. Blood then took his half of the board and swung it down upon the Marine Captain.

With his board severed in two, the Captain frowned, before Hawkins was attempting his own attack. However, before it fully made contact, he grabbed the powerful swing with both arms. His body and position was moved from the force, but he endured. With the swinging motion coming to an halt, Marine Captain Whiskey grinned, before lifting the board up, and Hawkins to, who was holding it.

He then quickly threw it forward, with a might grunt, causing both the wood and Hawkins to be sent airborne.

Blood let go of the board rather quickly as he was pushed into the air. However, because he had let go so early, he was able to land safely on the ground. As soon as he landed, Blood immediately charged forward. Yet, when he got close enough, rather than immediately attacking, Blood slid in between Whiskey's legs. He then quickly turned around and gave him a side swipe kick before then trying to punch him in the gut.

Watching his opponent safely land, the Marine Captain grinned wickedly. He knew such an act wouldn't harm this pirate too much, if at all. It was merely a showing of his true strength and to put this scum in his place above all else.

However, this pirate was still quick on his feet and was able to land a leg sweep before he could react. Countering it, by moving into a blocking position, it still landed a blow, but wasn't as painful had the block not been made. Right after another attack came in, punching him straightly into the gut. Caving in slightly, the Marine Captain Whiskey gruntingly laughed through his breath.

"Nice shot, but that's as far as you'll get." He stated, punching Hawkins head downwards. When his head fell from the impact, he then quickly kicked it with his leg, which would send him flying backwards.

Finally his forceful and fast ascent was decreasing. Holding onto Anais Flint was able to flip onto his feet, and reach the very top of the platform, where the structure's frames were. However, there was little room to be had atop here, and no running distance at all.

Quickly all the Marines re-aimed, this time they would be able to fire onto the two surely.

Blood went flying back, crashing to the ground. His head pounded from the impact and it was difficult for him to stand at first.

Panting a little, he stared at the Marine Captain. He had left a mark albeit a small one. There had to be some sort of weakness of his other than waiting for his alcoholic powers to run out if they did at all. Perhaps he hadn't punched hard enough in the stomach.

Blood started walking forwards, wiping his head. As he did so, he slid his bandana off. With a sudden jerk, he threw his bandana in front of Whiskey's eye sight. Blood then ran closer and boxed his ears hard before kicking him in the diaphragm and gut area.

With the piece of cloth fluttering forward, its sweaty weight allowed for the perfect projectile. In the Marine Captain's blind spot, he was still able to block the first punch, by positioning his arms to counter the attack. However he wasn't able to block the second attack.

Heaving and grunting again, Marine Captain Whiskey stumbled backwards, coughing and gasping on the platform.

Blood couldn't help but to grin at Whiskey's plight. So, he had found the weakness after all. Now, the difficult part was maintaining that weakness.

While Whiskey was heaving and coughing, Blood picked up one of the boards from before and swung it at his gut.

Before Hawkins could pluck the board off the platform, or even strike his opponent with it, the Marine Captain was slowly rising, his coughing waning. Abruptly, he caught the piece of wood, before it slammed into his chest. "I think it's time you've witnessed the final stage." He remarked, wiping some blood off of his mouth.

Slowly he pulled out a tin flask of whiskey, which was slightly dented from Hawkins punch previously. However all the alcohol was still intact. Unscrewing the top, he drank it quickly, and his body became that much more muscular, as he stretched and flexed.

Suddenly with a grunting growl, the entire platform began to shake and uplift, as Marine Captain Whiskey, now off of it, began to uproot the entire section. With Hawkins still atop, he pulled it off of the ground fully, it creaking, cracking, and squeaking along the way, and threw it forward. In seconds it would come crashing down, Hawkins with it.

Elsewhere, as this display of power was going on, Flint and Anais attempted to keep themselves upright, amongst the shaking of the platform frame they were currently on. "Woah!" Flint exclaimed, as Anais pointed to a high level story building to there side. "Can you get me there?"

"Sure!" Flint exclaimed enthusiastically, "Hold on tight!"

As the section of the platform came crashing down, so did Hawkins. He hit the ground hard, pieces of wood piling over him. A few of his limbs were visible here and there but for the most part, he was covered. And he didn't move or even make any sort of attempt to move.

With the entire platform in a smoking heap, Marine Captain Whiskey smiled contently. He spotted Hawkins within the wreckage, still partially buried in the broken wood, metal, and debris. "I told you, you would be judged." He remarked, his smile growing larger.

Trudging his way through the wreckage, he kicked a few pieces of trash out of his way, which flew into the sky with great speed. Finally he made it to the motionless Hawkins, after pushing, stomping, and kicking his way to him. Without rest, he lunged in, grabbed onto Hawkins tightly, and pulled his body out of the pile.

As Whiskey pulled Hawkins out of the rubble, Hawkins punched the Captain hard in the gut. But he didn't drop him so Hawkins then kicked him in the same area with his foot flat to not only do damage but also push himself away from Whiskey's strong grip.

With his opponent so very close, in his fingertips, Captain Whiskey made the mistake of belittling the pirate too soon. Furiously a fist pounded into his gut, causing him immense pain, even in his added state of strength. Flinching and grunting from the impact, Whiskey caved inwards, before angrily throwing Hawkins out of his grip.

Whether he flew back into the pile of debris, into a wall, or anywhere that would dangerously injure him was up to question whether he could get himself out of the situation safely. After catching his breath, heaving angrily, and holding onto his stomach, he looked furiously over at Hawkins.

With a growl, he began to storm towards him, but the two still had quite some distance between each other.

Hawkins fell into the wooden pile once again. With Whiskey charging towards him, Hawkins scrambled to get to his feet and out of the way. It was a bit difficult though climbing out of the wreckage. Just as Whiskey was about to ram into him, Hawkins managed to get out of the way.

As Marine Captain Whiskey charged towards Hawkins, which he was sure would be this pirate's last breath, a shot came between the two. It was quick, whistled loudly, and penetrated through the wooden flooring, which he was running across.

It left a large hole, causing a portion of the wood to collapse where his foot had just slammed into. Although it wouldn't be sending him under, it did drop his one foot into the ground, and caused him to halt his forward barrage. And such a moment allowed Hawkins to emerge from out of the wreckage, onto his feet, and out of harm's reach.

"Hawkins!!" Flint exclaimed, with his makeshift pistol in hand. With another shot fired, he had little left, as he dropped from above. "Don't have all the fun without me!"

Landing behind the Marine Captain, he frowned angrily at the two pirates, one at his front, the other at his back. "So you've come for your judgment as well?"

With Hawkins now out of the wreck and out of harm's way for the time being, he smirked in Flint's direction.

"Are you kidding? I was just holding him off for ya," he said, paying no attention to Whiskey at the moment. Or his threats.

"I'll take both of you one and your judgments shall be swift!" Marine Captain Whiskey exclaimed, stomping his foot furiously into the ground. It caused the entire flooring to crack, snaking quickly towards both pirates. The flooring began to spread apart, as well as uproot itself, which would cause anyone who was standing on it to lose their balance.

While the two would be regaining their bearings, Whiskey shot towards Hawkins first, kicking him in the side, before turning to stare down Flint, and immediately leapt into him, with a powerful fist. Tumbling through the wreckage of what was once the platform and center of the base, Flint crashed in a wall dustily.

However he did not have long to tend to his pain, only able to hold onto his throbbing forehead, as the Marine Captain was already sending another barrage his way. While in the air, he struck downwards, but luckily Flint was able to roll out of the way in time to avoid a deadly blow.
