Despite Hawkins strength, the bars still couldn't budge or pry far enough. While they did move and bow, Flint's head was still wedged in tightly. Frantically he yelped, seeing the furious charging Marine's with swords and spears.

He jerked and shook, but it just didn't work. "Chop his head off, before he can get out!" One of the Marine's barked, frightening Flint. "No way! I like my head the way it is!" Propping and bending his legs onto the cell's door, he then situated himself.

"Propel-pel Lunge!" He shouted, as his devil fruit power sprung backwards. Suddenly the bottom and top of the cell began to shift and crack, until it fell backwards, but did not topple fully. However, even though it couldn't to budge completely free, Flint was.

Unable to stop himself, he popped straight out of the squared hole, and then hurled into Hawkins. Powerfully they both tumbled through their cell and into the back wall. With such tremendous force, their weight and momentum blew a hole in their concrete cell's wall.

Light poured in immediately, yet they weren't free. The cell room they were in, was positioned and built near a large cliff, which dropped straight down into a series of large deadly spikes, with a huge rocky barrier wall at the other side.

Still twirling and tumbling in the air, Flint flew right out of the hole in the wall, heading for a direct collision into the spikes.

Blood didn't have any time to protest Flint's actions as he was quickly sent flying back and into the wall along with Flint. Rubble fell on top of him as he was pushed passed the wall, sending parts of it crumbling, and heading towards the dangerous spikes below. Quickly, Blood grabbed onto the edge of the cliff, his feet dangling above the deadly spikes. With his other hand, he grabbed onto Flint's collar as he came falling as well. He then swung Flint as best he could towards the ledge they were currently hanging on so that Flint would once again be on land.

Watching in astonishment as Flint busted through the cell's barrier, the Marine's jaws dropped agape. They just couldn't believe what they were seeing, going so far as to drop their weapons, still in hand and limply. The leader of the group, distinguished by his mustache, growled at his clean-shaven and hairless cheeked rookies, before pointing at the cell, and mangled gate in their way.

"Well, don't just stand there!" He exclaimed, "Get them, their trial starts this evening. You know what the Captain will do to us!"

Frantically shivering, the Marine rookies mumbled nervously. "Y-Yes Sir!" They shouted with a salute, "Sound the alarms!"

Soon after, the alarms of this rocky Marine base began to go off, sounding similar to that of air sirens. It was a low pitch humming sound, which escalated loudly as it increased duration, before slowly receding again.

On the mountainous shore of the island, there was furniture for sitting and writing on. A table held pencils, papers, and ink of all kinds, with a compass, a map, and some other instruments. Below the water began to rise and forcefully wash ashore more powerfully then any other section of the island's border.

The distinct buzzing of the sirens could be heard even from this distance, as Anais confusingly looked over to her side. "Huh?" Is all she muttered, with a pencil and compass in hand.

The Captain of the Base was nearby, as he placed a hand on her shoulder, and twisted her back to her work of studies. "Don't worry about those matters. Another pirate is trying to escape, we will kill them. Like mother always wanted." He said, staring off into the ocean, where peculiar black dots were.

"Focus on entrapping these pirates into our clutches now." He stated, as Anais nodded, "...Right." She said before sighing, both for what was happening at the base, and for what she was about to do.

Elsewhere, as Flint reached the top again, after frantically yelping at the sight of large spikes, he laughed happily. "I'm free!" He shouted happily, hopping and dancing around the sabotaged cell. "I'm really free!" He added laughing, as the Marine's tugged, jerked, and sawed at the gate, but to no avail.

"This isn't working," Growled the leader at the prison's hallway, "Send in the snipers!"

"What are you just standing around for, help me up!" Blood exclaimed as he continued to dangle along the edge. He didn't wait for Flint to help him and grabbed onto the edge with his now free hand. Blood then tried to pull himself up though a little help wouldn't hurt.

Catching onto Hawkins annoyance and predicament, Flint quickly pushed aside his petty victor, and then he quickly yanked him upright. As soon as he was finished, stampeding footsteps could be heard from the hall. Suddenly the Marine's yanking and sawing the gate removed themselves and quickly got out of the way.

The Sniper team knelt in position, their guns, face, and body seen through the small openings of the cell. "Snipers!" The captain exclaimed, addressing them. "Take aim!" He ordered loudly, as they rose their rifles, the barrels gazing down their targets.

Fixated at this new group, Flint added his astonishment. "Ouhh..." He said, before the Captain swung his arm down. "Fire!"

As their bullets whizzed by, Flint ducked, as one of them shredded a little of his cloth. "Woah!" He added, before staggering and falling, to avoid the other mass.

As the riflemen were getting into position, Blood noticed a small patch of ground by the walls of the prison they had busted open. Quickly, Blood got behind the wall. However, he then realized that Flint had not done the same. With the bullets whizzing by, Blood grabbed Flint and yanked him behind the wall.

As their bullets did little, but scuff the clothes on the pirate's backs, the Captain slowly ordered his riflemen to cease fire. Few stray shots crackled and popped across the room, until the entire column had finished and halted their firing.

Staring inside the empty room, the leader snarled. "I want you to get outside and find a spot to fire at!" He ordered the Snipers, who stood, saluted, and ran off with an added "Sir!" In between.

"The rest of you, find a way to take this damn door down!" He shouted, as the previous Marine's reequipped their weapons, tools, and began to dismantle the gate. However, dismantle was used so loosely, as this was quite tough steel.

Being yanked across the tiny patch of ground, Flint pushed his back upright against the wall, as he took tiny steps across this awkward bridge. However even though they were out of harm's reach, they weren't really in a spot to make any kind of escape. The wall's of the prison were sturdy and they couldn't bust them down in their position with little room, down below lead to a deadly pile of spikes, which seemed it could had harbored many bones, and a large towering wall on the other side, with nothing to grab on if they managed to make it to the other side.

All this time, the sirens continued to go off, adding to the intensity for both the Pirates and Marines.

With Blood standing on the ledge, his feet less than inches away from the spikey dangers below, he looked towards how far this space of safety (if it could even be called that) lasted. Seeing that it went a ways, Blood started to slowly inch his way along the rocky edge.

"Come on," Blood called to Flint as he continued to move in this fashion.

Almost losing his balance, as he watched and did as Hawkins instructed, Flint bent backwards, flailing his arms, and almost dropping below. With a yelp and moving his body with the awkward weight, he was able to keep himself upright.

As he placed one foot after the other, and kept his back tightly hugged up against the prison's outer wall, he made distance. Although the rate and length they were moving at was very slow, and Flint was in no hurry to try to propel himself over the prison, the wall beyond, or through the spikes, as he had little footing as it was, and there was no guarantee he would make it through either obstacle.

As fate would have it for them, where the tiny walkway led them was straight into the middle of the island. The middle, where the entire base and buildings of all kinds converged. The prison, the sleeping quarters, the mess halls, training areas, captain quarters, and everything were placed in a circular pattern, with the execution and trial platforms taking up a majority of the middle.

Although from where they were, it was impossible to see any of this. The prison and outer-walls shot straight to the middle, but there was a large wall covering the gap between the prison, spiky drop, and mountain, therefore it blocked off their entrance to the inner sections of the base.

Fortunately there was a staircase, which was bolted to the prison, leading to the first and second level, and was not out of their reach, once they arrived to it. Although entering the prison again wouldn't be wise, they could use it to boost themselves out of this sticky situation they found themselves in.

"Look!" Flint exclaimed, as the sirens continued, and the erratic voices of Marines stampeding and preparing echoed beyond. He pointed not to the staircase, which they were heading towards, but something off in the distance. It seemed to be beyond the prison, the building, and the platforms.

Although it was uncertain what it was exactly, there was a blurred visual of a crane, which a boat was tied, latched, and dangling on.

Blood looked towards what Flint was pointing at as he got himself on a safer ground which was the staircases.

"Well, if I didn't know any better, I'd say that's our ticket out of here," he said. He then looked around the area, inspecting how they could possibly make it over to the boat.

Grabbing ahold of the staircase railing, Flint pulled himself up. Upon reaching thicker, larger, and solid ground, he stared below, as he heard the stampeding and clicking of many rifles. A company of Snipers positioned below, and nearby the platform took aim, but did not fire.

There were no other Marines around, not the mustached leader from before, or his other diligent men, who were no doubt still messing with the cell's gate. Although he spotted the riflemen, the strange looking platform, and many of the other building, he wasn't sure where they led.

Instead of waiting for an action or reply from Hawkins, he grabbed him, before propelling them powerfully towards their destination. Mangling the already weak staircase, it creaked, twisted, and cracked, as the Snipers fired. However, it was too late, as they already flew through the speeding air, with one echoing shout, "Propel-pel launch!"

With the blinding and hissing wind, fluttering through them wildly, more of the base was visible, as well as the surrounding landscape. At the rate they were going, it was difficult to see most of it unfortunately. Veering slightly off course, Flint missed the boat, instead heading directly into the side of the crane's arm.

As they pounded into it, their weight and force caused the piece to swivel, sending them and the boat spinning across the mountainous area. Below them were numerous steep hills, riddled with spikes and jagged rocks, unstable terrain to drop a boat.

There was also a pier, housing countless damaged ships which were being repaired, but there didn't seem to be any exit for this harbor. It was locked away from the open seas, which was also riddled with jagged rocks, spikes, and mountains, sprouting upwards and in the waters.

Since Blood was in the middle of speaking while Flint grabbed him and began to propel them, he had no time to react to Flint's actions. He did yell once they were in the air though.

"Why can't this kid ever warn me?" flashed across his mind. He then felt an excruciating pain as he slammed into the crane in the gut. Seeing the surrounding area and the further dangerous landscape below, he held onto the crane for dear life.

With the two long out of sight, the Snipers slowly ceased fire, their barrels smoking from the heat. Furiously growling, the mustached leader threw his hat to the ground, as the stairwell continued to creak, slowly twisting, and ready to drop.

It was on its last leg, and several Snipers who were caught in the crossfire, nervously and frantically trembled, as they slide across the sloped structure. Nearby comrades extended an hand or rifle, in order to pull them to safety.

"Sir!" One of the Snipers exclaimed, as he spotted the two pirates from afar. Holding onto some binoculars tightly, he observed as they hanged onto the black and metallic crane piece, which held a harnessed boat. "I have visual on them!"

"What!?" The leader exclaimed, hurrying towards him, "Well don't just stand there, shoot them!"

Elsewhere, as they arrived onto the crane, slowly spinning to a weak halt, Flint laughed at their expense. "Wow, I thought we were going to land in those spikes!" He exclaimed, "That was something else!"

However, his carefree attitude soon diminished slightly, as a peculiar sound buzzed near them. It was the sound of a ricocheting bullet, which hit the metal of the crane near them. A large spark, streak mark, and dent were immediately formed.

Then another shot came in, missing, and was even more off, followed by a closer shot. If one was to squint, they could view the blurry images of the Snipers, firing at the two. Suddenly a stray shot hit the harnessed boat.

It severed the rope between the boat and crane in two. Mercilessly the boat plunged below into the spikes, piercing, tearing, and blowing it into many pieces. "Augh! Our boat!" With the weight gone, the crane suddenly sprung upwards forcefully, as it then spun again.

Unable to maintain his balance, Flint who was now standing atop the crane, tumbled down its path, until he created his own, straight through the air, and plummeting down into the ocean.

As the bullets came flying towards the two, Blood carefully worked his way under the crane and towards the other side so that whatever bullets were coming towards him would be blocked for the most part.

However, he wasn't expecting Flint to fall below.

"Flint!" he called as he jumped in after him.

As Flint was about to plummet into the ocean, he held onto his cap, as his clothes fluttered in the violent wind. "Oh crap!" He exclaimed, noticing the still water, which only rocked with the gentle breezes and waves which managed to seep through the rocky mountain crevices.

Before he plunged into the water or dropped too deeply, he grabbed the crane's harness. It was the piece of rope which held the boat before, and the very same one that a Marine had severed with his bullet. As he caught it, his weight then jerked and swung, following the motion of whichever path the rope took.

Suddenly it completely severed in two, Flint with the larger and bottom piece. He didn't have long to take in his situation, before he freely flew and dropped below, straight into the shipyards repair section, which was on the opposite side.

The ships he crashed into, caved in on themselves, becoming an even larger massive heap of irreparable garbage. Elsewhere the crane had shifted its course, because of Flint's interference with the swinging rope. It once again spun forcefully, just as Hawkins had jumped off in order to rescue Flint, therefore sending his attempt off course...straight into the large pile of mountainous spikes.

As Blood fell down towards the spikes below, his feet dangled in the air. He looked up and saw that Flint was fine and out of harm's way for the time being. Damn that kid.

As he came towards the spikes, Blood frantically placed his hands out towards two spikes that were on opposites sides of him in addition to his feet. His hands were no doubt scraped due to the force he exerted on them. But he continued to slam his hands into these spikes. Slowly, he started to slide down towards a series of smaller spikes. Eventually, he came to a stop just before the spikes were about to hit him.

With relief, Blood sighed.

As Hawkins halted his speedy descent, only a hair away from the ones below piercing his rear-end, he was out of harms reach. Unfortunately a loud explosion soon echoed and was soon followed by a peculiar whistling noise. With little time to register what it was, suddenly a massive and fiery explosion erupted nearby him, shattering and throwing up spikes by the handful.

"You idiot!" The mustached leader exclaimed, smacking the Marine handling a cannon on the backside of his head. "That is our shipyard, don't fire so hastily!" After chewing out the soldier, he then looked to the others, prepared, ready, and awaiting orders. "Swing around the Mess Hall and hit them hard from that exit.!"

"Sir!" They exclaimed, saluting, before rushing off. Elsewhere, Flint groaned before he pulled himself out of the wreckage, and laughed at their expense once again. "Woah, this day just keeps getting crazier!" He exclaimed, but his attitude slowly halted again, as he noticed a small group of Marine's, not the main force, who had arrived from the only entrance and exit at this shipyard.

They were all in formation, not too far or close, and readied with their swords and rifles.

Taking heed of the sirens, gun fire, explosions, and echoes, the Captain who was near the shores with Anais, quickly rose, staring coldly at the Base in his sight. "Take care off your duties," He stated calmly, "It's time I stepped in to stop this."

Taken aback by the explosion, Blood was suddenly thrown off his momentary sanctuary. A yell escaped him as he went flying along with debris from the spikes. The next thing he knew, he was falling into another body of water. Gasping, Blood's head burst out of the water. Nearby, Flint looked on while being on a pile of wreckage, laughing at the expense of the Marines. Blood then looked on, noticed the small band that was now coming towards them.

As Flint dusted and exited himself from the ship wreckage that he created and fell on, the Marine's immediately charged him. Shouting their famous warrior cry, with swords rose highly into the air, their boots stampeded the dock.

Flint however didn't resume a stance or action of any kind, he just stood where he was, staring at the opposing force. Once the first and fastest Marine came into his path, then did he react. With a deadly sharp sword swung downwards, he sidestepped quickly, but not too fluidly, shocked at the ferocity.

With a grunted yelp, he held onto his cap, before another sword flew into his path. This time taking the initiative, after the blade passed by, he slammed his fist downwards into the second Marine, knocking him out cold, and then did the same to the first Marine, only punching him in the side.

However, there were several other Marines still heading his way and already upon him.

Blood swam towards the wreckage. He climbed onto it and onto the solid ground where the Marines were now heading towards them. He charged one of the men coming towards him. Weaving out of the way of the sword, he quickly punched the man in the gut.

With the Marine missing his sword strike, he was then hit forcefully into the chest, before he tumbled backwards into a pile of crates. In a dusty explosion, he remained, as the remaining wave continued on at Flint and Hawkins.

Three Marine's diverted their attention and charging from Flint to Hawkins, raising their swords in his path. The first two, and the fastest, swung their swords at his sides simultaneously. Immediately afterwards, the last soldier then thrust his blade directly into him, substituting it as a spear.

Elsewhere attacked from his back and front, Flint ducked, as one sword swung over him, and then quickly leapt as the other swiped underneath. "Hey!" He exclaimed, almost taken off guard, and annoyed. "Attacking from the back isn't fair!" He added, before throwing the rear Marine into the front.

As the incoming Marines went to attack Blood, he charged forward. As they swung to their swords to the sides, he grabbed the hilts of their swords with their grips still on them. With a swift jerking motion, he pulled them both forward, crisscrossing the two so that they would slam into one another. The two soldiers fell to the ground.

Blood then spun to his right as the third Marine was incoming. He jabbed his elbow into the man's face.

With the three Marines taken out, several more had already repositioned themselves nearby Hawkins. An entire column, consisting of eight or so soldiers, charged towards him with open blades and warrior shouts. They were mere seconds from collision, with every intention of death on sight.

Behind the soldiers and Hawkins, rested the calm waves of the trapped waters of the repair docks. Silently three Marines emerged from underneath the water, quickly leaping onto the dock. While mid-air, they fell upon Hawkins, latching onto him with their surprise attack. With him locked in their dog-pile grip, they laughed wickedly, while awaiting the impending wave.

Free from the grips of the three Marines, Hawkins punched the first who fell on the cold hard dock unconsciously. The other two flew backwards involuntarily, falling into a portion of the charging column. With such weight crushed upon them, all collapsed onto the dusty pier, fighting to free themselves from the entanglement.

Such an action only worsened their state, as every Marine fought for themselves to stand freely and as a result, none were able to. However, six Marine's were still able-bodied and drawing their next breath, they all swooped upon Hawkins.

Two lunged above, striking their blades downwards, two encircling the pirate to his rear, where they then struck soon after, and the remaining duo struck Hawkins from each respective side.
