Info from the panel!

-The polar bear dog of Korra's is a female named Naga
-Aang and Katara have three kids, Tenzin is one, and he also has kids (son is Meelo)
-The firebender in the poster is Mako (named after Iroh's VA) and the earthbender is Bolin. These two are brothers. Oh my gah.
-The anti-benders use chi blocking [courtesy of Avatar_Mom's twitter post]
-They will also have metal bending cops. Toph travelled and taught people [Avatar_Mom]
-Toph's daughter is the chief of the police [Avatar_Mom]
-Aang finds a herd of sky bison after the war, and there is a new kind [Avatar_mom]

Yeah I was meaning to post information on that. Someone posted it on another site, but I wasn't able to see the poster. I did see the polar bear thing and that totally looked like a rip from Narnia or Golden Compass, as much as I hate to say that about a series I really like.

The masked guy reminds me of that villain of Fantastic Four...too much in fact lol.

omg you're right, it DOES look like the polar bear from the Golden Compass.

i dont really see that as an insult though since I liked those books >.< well, i liked Narnia anyway. Golden Compass was okay.

I wasnt really thinking of Fantastic Four either but yeah, it does look like him lol XD

i figured ill also put up any news from the Korra panel that starts at 7. there's apparently people that have been waiting in the room since 4 lol

Doesn't surprise me, about the people. I remember people camping at theaters for weeks when the Star Wars pre-series was out.

No I wasn't insulting the books. I just meant that I'd hope they'd use some more imagination like they did with Appa...looks like a character from another series (Golden Compass)

The poster also strikes me as different. I don't know, it looks like a total different style then that of ATLA. I can't quite describe it, everyone just looks they're on steroids. Reminds me of that Marvel/DC feel.

I meant original as in animals from actual nature. Her spirit animal just looks like a very big dog.

SPOILER WARNING:

-Team Avatar will comprise of brothers: one is a firebender, another an earthbender. so im guessing the peeps in the poster are the bros. Firebender is Mako, earthbender is Bolin

-It's called the United Republic (city) founded by Zuko and Aang.

Flying Bison are back. there's a panda ferret thing named Pabu. new species of flying lemurs. "Mako is the brooding...not as amuch as Zuko, Bolin is the younger, goofier brother. Kind of naive."

Let's just see if these characters can instill the same great moments and life that the original series cast had. I don't know...I have to see acting and animation to actually see if I'll like the show or not. A trailer, some little bits of information doesn't tell much yet.

oh i cant make judges on this stuff yet either. im just telling you what's happening at Comic Con right now :) and I think a trailer (once its released) will at least give me a decent first impression. of course, the trailer has to be taken with a grain of salt since the trailer could easily be badass but the entire show could suck.

We already know that Tezen or whatever his name is, is Aang's son. He's going to teach Korra airbending, that is if they didn't scrap that part.

Also, that Ferret thing is totally Itachi. Those thieving bastards probably were snooping in here. I wouldn't be surprised if that's where they got Naga to.

i think it's more like 'great minds think alike' type of deal. you'd be surprised as to how similar stories are to one another when people have never heard of each other's stories. it's happened to me quite a few times actually.

I feel that they can bend the music. It's not like it's going to be Asian based now. They're steering the culture and atmosphere in a different direction, steam punk.

oh no, i dont have a problem with jazz music. i LOVE jazz OSTs. i just dont know how i feel about it mixing with the more traditional type of music. I think id rather have it just be jazz...but ill have to hear it first.
