well yeah. i thought we were going to edit the story for a fanfiction from the beginning. not literally copy and paste what we had written.

Hey now, I didn't just copy and paste. Even during the first edits, I was already fixing grammar errors and everything. My god if you had seen what it was like before and the work cut out for me and Zfish you would...I don't know what you would had done.

i thought the first edit was copy and pasted mostly...minus the internet speak. my bad.

Nah we had to reorder things in some much chronological order...plus editing your and BS posts was a pain. You guys were like everywhere! It wasn't scientifically possible!

Ai and Ryuzaki traveled using the TARDIS obviously. :p

No they obviously were best buds with Flash :P

they used the TARDIS to get back to the right time and then buddied with the Flash so they could get to the right location.

Anyway, yeah that was one of the problems in the very beginning. Zfish and I said it once, but I'll say it again.

Seriously like for instance Areo in the very beginning. BS and Susano might have their characters discussing secrets or something and then all of the sudden, Areo has his character backflip into the dark scene.

"So what's all this talk about?"

Anyway regarding Korra I like that one of the enemies is named Amon.

i think they did that on purpose. wouldn't really surprise me since they have a whole episode that is way too similar to Pirates of the Caribbean :p

Are you referring to The Scroll? I don't know...pirates were involved in a lot of ancient history. Just because something is pirate related doesn't mean they looked at it.

Yes, I am. and there's a load of references:

first of all, the head pirate has a huge hat that looks like Barbossa's. but you can easily just call that coincidence i guess.

but then we have this quote from Zuko:

"I didn't steal it if that's what you're wondering."

which is also said by Elizabeth in Pirates. It's the EXACT same quote. I was half expecting Zuko to say 'well i'm disinclined to acquiesce your request.'

there's also a comment from Katara:

"Thanks Momo, I owe you a bushel of apples."

and apples (more specifically, a bushel of apples) was a motif throughout Pirates. Barbossa says he's going to have a bushel of apples when the curse is lifted. And, that's not really specific to any pirate movie other than Pirates.

there's also the idea of characters backstabbing one another throughout the movie and this is the one thing that is done in every Pirates movie. which also kind of happens in the Waterbending Scroll, especially at the end. but again, you may be able to argue thats just a coincidence.

but those other two: definitely aren't coincidences. i was obsessed with Pirates, i saw the references immediately :p

That's what all pirates do...I mean look at One Piece to. Pirates are meant to swindle each other. I'll take your word for those quotes, I never watched Pirates of the Caribbean.

yeah but i never got a POTC vibe from One Piece in terms of swindling each other. I did when I watched the Waterbending Scroll.

I'm actually curious how advanced the technology in Korra will be. Had they explained anything, like about guns in the show? I don't mean like modern repeating guns, but like flintlocks or something.

I heard somewhere that there would be no guns in Avatar.

which is kind of weird because you'd think they would have developed guns by now. or, at least have guns just being introduced. but whatever, im not complaining. i dont think the show needs guns and Nick might have said no to guns.

Is that why shows like Fairly Odd Parents have guns? No one gets hurt. Hell half the toons, including Justice League have guns only to aimlessly shoot around. No one ever gets close to the intended target.

yeah but Fairly Oddparents is more of a comedy than Avatar. Avatar it would be, in theory, used in a more serious manner.

Justice League is Cartoon Network and I dont know if Nick and Cartoon Network have the same rules.

It's just speculation anyway. I don't know the reason behind it: just offering some possibilities.
