"Right, that one." Lunar Knight replied, referring to the previous slandering of events. "Of course the criminals will try their best to paint you in such a light, it makes their task easier." He explained, denying the subject of too much debating. "I doubt the news channels have anything to do with this. I have no evidence that goes with or against this, but they're just angry individuals."

"Am I interrupting something?" A man asked, carrying an odd accent and a shady grin. He slowly tapped a crowbar on his shoulder, awaiting for the two to either acknowledge his presence or respond. He was not alone however, as two others, possibly related to him, were right behind him.

"Looks like we got the upper-hand on you super-zeroes this time!" He shouted, charging and swinging the crowbar into Quiver's general direction. Behind the two heroes, another crook atop one of the crates lunged downwards, about to strike a sneak attack.

"Sure you did." Lunar Knight immediately shot one of his projectiles into the man's weapon, who was dropping from above, knocking it out of his hands.

Before Quiver could say anything about the one news reporter, the three men approached them.

As the first man charged her, Quiver delivered a kick that sent the crowbar flying. She then hit him in the back of the head with her bow.

Shocked at his crowbar twirling and flying behind him, the leading thug was unprepared for the incoming kick. He was quickly sent into a large crate, but because of its size and sturdiness, it withstood the full brunt. The thug simply banged into the box, before slowly sliding unconsciously to the ground.

As Lunar Knight dealt with the sneak attack, the other two thugs who registered their leader's downfall became enraged. They both flicked out switchblades, ready to slice Quiver. The first sliced high and the other jabbed low.

Quiver moved back and to the side as the two aimed for her. She then took a jab at the man who had aimed high's arm as she tried to knock the knife out of his hand. After jabbing him, she kneed the second man in the gut.

With two quick jabs, both knife thugs dropped their weapons, as well as their effectiveness in this fight. They caved in on themselves and staggered back, only being supported by the large crate behind them.

Having dealt with two other thugs, Lunar Knight threw one of them from behind Quiver and the two switch-blade wielding crooks. Their lifeless weight crashed into the two thugs, as all three slid and landed unconsciously on the wooden pier.

"Well that takes care of this problem." Lunar Knight remarked, as the entire group was out cold. "What I was going to add, before these hooligans interrupted, was that I inspected the vault closely. It seems a piece is missing."

"I haven't a clue, except that there is a gap where an installation should be." Lunar Knight replied. "And even that is questionable, as it could had been lost or damaged through the wreckage. It might not even be related to the terrorist group."

"Leaving the crime scene empty handed but then having a piece missing in the vault seems a bit fishy to me," Quiver said. "Though what they would want with an installation piece..."

Her voice trailed off as she attempted to think.

Entering a dark desolate room, several of the terrorists from before converged. They appeared to be battered from their run in with the two superheroes, yet they didn't seem to have broken spirits.

"Did you obtain it?" A peculiar voice asked within the shadows. A nod befell one of the terrorists, as they pulled out a strange metal case of wiring and components. "Excellent, install it immediately. Step two begins shortly."

"We could theorize endlessly what they would want it for, if it was their actual intention." Lunar Knight replied. Before he could add anything else, a radio call came from the police. A short and loud static rush came through, before the officers voice echoed.

"We need back up!" They shouted, as the screams of late-night civilians shrieked through the radio, as well as gunshots. Suddenly a recognizable roar managed to sneak in on the call. "That thing is back! Repeat we need back up at the abandoned power plant!"

Suddenly the officer screamed loudly, before the message went dead with static. "The old electric plant? It might have something to do with what they stole." Lunar Knight replied, as he heeded the message.

Before Quiver could say anything else, she was interrupted by the radio. It wasn't like she had much else to say anyway.

"Only one way to find out," Quiver replied.

The area this behemoth struck, now alone, was unpredictable to say the least. Its first assault was at the Little Springs Bank, managing to take an entire vault, but left it behind. Now they were attacking an abandoned electric plant, which had been in disservice for several years.

Despite its abandonment and lack of maintenance, mostly everything about the plant remained intact. The power grid towers nearby were still connected to the plant, despite its disuse, and still followed and fed power to the town of Little Springs. Or in this case, lack of it.

The fence surrounding the entire plant remained upright, covering all four sides. There were numerous boxes and cylinders which the wires channeled all throughout, before linking to the closest grid tower. There were numerous buildings nearby, for maintaining and feeding the power, as well as smokestacks.

Several police cars had previously arrived, with their sirens still flashing brightly, and parked outside the plant. They remained protected behind the car's metal, and doors, while others had advanced further and fired at the towering behemoth inside the plant.

Angrily it growled furiously at their persistence, before plucking one of the power boxes out of the concrete flooring, and hurled it into one of the cars. The fate of the two officers unknown, as the electric box and car met with a fiery explosion.

The two officers lay on the ground, one unconscious, the other hurt as Quiver stood over them after having just pushed them out of the way.

Quiver then fired her arrow at an electric box that was near the beast.

The two officers were safe, with Quiver by their side. Her arrow rushed into the electric plant, penetrating a box. Nothing happened as there was no power.

The behemoth growled, focusing on Quiver, before throwing the box, she had shot, at her.

Within the building of the abandoned power plant, three cloaked terrorists from before were diligently tinkering with the controls and old electronic computers. "It's almost ready," One of them stated, as their fingers pattered quickly on the keypads.

Suddenly a circular projectile pierced into the pad, sparking wildly as it did so. Shocked and taken aback, one of the terrorist covered themselves from the electrical discharge.

"I figured there was a reason giant was here." Lunar Knight remarked, hidden as the three frantically attempted to locate him. "You're right, but you're too late anyway." One of the terrorists chimed in, with a grin, before pulling a lever.

With a loud whirl, the abandoned building's power returned, monitors and machines began to light up, gears turned, the entire place was alive again. Quickly Lunar Knight lunged the first terrorist over his back and into a monitor screen.

The second charged him, in hand to hand combat, but was quickly outmatched. Lastly the third readied a pistol clip, before aiming, but it was too late. Lunar Knight shot his gun from out of his hand with another projectile, before knocking him out cold.

Quickly he rushed towards the lever, returning it back to the off position, but it didn't work. Instead he stared outside where Quiver was battling the behemoth with what little resistance was left of the police.

Having slammed its hands into the concrete ground, its hand were too rough from an arrow to do much damage. However, it did penetrate, but not far enough for such poison to flow with the blood, where it would be needed.

Suddenly all the transformer and generator boxes inside the fenced in area began to buzz loudly, as electricity began to flow through each one. While the beast was preoccupied with Quiver, Lunar Knight launched one of his smoke bombs at it.

It tumbled underneath its feet, before engulfing the entire beast in the thick gray smoke, shutting off all visuals so that it could not approach or attack Quiver effectively.

Hearing buzz coming from a nearby power box, Quiver aimed an arrow towards the box that was near the beast. And, if that did little to nothing, Quiver charged the beast as the smoke filled the area. She tried to get as close as she could before pulling something out from her back pocket.

She then sprayed the can of mace at his eyes.

On their way towards the abandoned electric plant, Quiver and Lunar Knight readied themselves. With his partner concerned how they would even best this beast this time around, when they couldn't manage anything at the bank, he contemplated their plan.

"It's still a person, whatever it is." Lunar Knight replied, as they made haste. "It still has a weakness. The serum only solidifies the outer skin, not the insides. Otherwise they'd be a rock. I did some tests on insects." He explained, their was still a possibility of success.
___

Confusedly the behemoth stumbled through the smoke filled area, before a transformer sparked brightly from a metallic arrow. Shielding the side of their body with their arm, they were quickly pepper-sprayed. Although it did cause some slight irritation, their thick skin and new body warded off most of it.

Angrily the behemoth extended both arms and slapped them, causing a forceful wind to blow most of the smoke out of sight. Now with their vision restored, the behemoth was ready to attack Quiver. However before it could grab her, several projectiles spun fiercely into its side, which they used their arm to absorb the blows.

A chunk of concrete lunged into Lunar Knight's direction, which he leapt and rolled behind a transformer to avoid. With his back up against the wildly buzzing electrical box, he readied his flame contraption. Without wasting time he inspected the rampaging beast. Nothing seemed different from this impenetrable monster, except for the arrow that was partially stuck in its hand.

"Remember our plan!" Lunar Knight shouted, staring at her and then the arrow in its hand quickly. It's a start, but we can't be reckless...if it breaks off we're back to square one. "Distract it!"

Quiver grabbed a loose piece of concrete and threw it at creature's head to get it's attention. She then quickly backed away as she had no doubt it would approach her.

Angrily the beast growled furiously as the small rock like concrete chunk bumped off its scaled head. Slowly it began to approach Quiver, ripping a transformer box out of the ground. Sparks shot out everywhere, due to the electrical discharge. With the box in hand, it crushed it completely, before tossing the thin frisbee like metal into Quiver's path.

With the behemoth's attention now onto Quiver once again, Lunar Knight calibrated his flame torches. With them ready he quickly lunged onto one of the transformer boxes, and twisted his wrists upright, which triggered two flames to shoot straight into the metal arrow.

As the flames continued, the metal grew hotter with each passing second. The fuel in each flame was running low, as the flow of the fire grew shorter and shorter...until nothing was left. Fortunately it had done its job, even if the rock-like structure of the beast remained the same, the metal of the arrow was now cherry red.

Since Quiver had done her job, in distracting the beast, Lunar Knight was able to heat the metal tip of the arrow to extreme measures. However, it wouldn't be doing anything by itself, as it still remained where it was when the beast pierced it into itself previously.

The hotter the tool, the more quickly it would enter and penetrate the skin, no matter how thick. With that in mind, Lunar Knight launched his last disc projectile into the arrow's path, bashing and pushing it further into the beast's skin.

It plunged in quickly, the metal and poison coursing more quickly through the beast's inner-skin of the hand. Allowing an irritated growl, from the pain, the behemoth flinched and squeezed its palm. Although its vision had blurred and it was becoming more sluggish, it was not down by any count.

Quiver pulled out the vines she had tried the last time. Only now, with his more sluggish behavior, she expected this to work this time around. With that in mind, she shot an arrow with the vine attached across where the beast was walking and pulled tightly on the other end.

As the beast staggered forward from the painful consecutive attacks, a vine stretched out latching onto the sides of two transformers where it was heading. So that it couldn't see the plan and was more disoriented, Lunar Knight launched another one of his flash bombs into its face.

The smoke and fiery explosion engulfed its entire head, as its head flung back and groaned. It quickly move forwards, catching onto the vine, before toppling over onto its stomach. Such an impact shook the entire ground tremendously.
