As Quiver went flying into the air, she grabbed onto a streetlight poll and slid down it. Once on the ground, she quickly shifted through her things and pulled out some rope. She then tied one end of it to an arrow and fired it across where the beast was heading before tying the other end to the pole.

Slowly the behemoth stepped into the ropes way, while uncaring that Quiver was able to safely land. With its weight and strength, the rope really didn't do much except possibly cause it to stagger in its step. However once it took notice of the rope contraption, tied to the streetlight and pierced into the asphalt, it reached down and grabbed it in the middle.

With one forceful tug, the arrow ripped out of the ground and the streetlight was uprooted almost effortlessly. Both ends came barreling forward, tearing through the street and anything in its way. Noticing the predicament several officers would be in, Lunar Knight launched one of his razor discs to slice the rope near the streetlight.

With it severed, the long metal pole tumbled into a building, where it caused serious damage, but harmed no one nearby. He then leapt out of the bank's window, in hopes of reaching this thing, as the behemoth was about to attack the police shooting at his back.

Aiming both of his hands upwards and at the beast, he then bent his wrists upwards, which ignited a steady flame from both sides. Although the heat and fire was intense, they were rather small, and didn't do much damage to this beast at all.

Only the brightness seemed to bother it, as they covered their eyes from the heat, and the attack only seemed to work as a diversion, if that. However, the flames had a limit as the juice and storage ran out, leaving nothing left but a small streak of sparks and smoke.

Slowly the beast lowered their arm, as smoke swirled around, staring angrily at these two annoying pests.

Seeing the reaction from the beast, Quiver pulled out a fire arrow and allowed it to whiz by the creature's eyes.

As the flame arrow flashed by the beast, it was yet again a minor inconvenience. However, unlike Lunar Knight's flames, it didn't directly bash into their fortified skin and therefore made no contact. Having worn its patience with these pests, the behemoth growled loudly, bringing both their arms upwards, before swinging them into the ground.

The concussion blew forth debris and dust, as a shock-wave hurried towards Quiver and Lunar Knight. Trash cans, postal-boxes, litter, and cars were toppled and thrown upwards with this devastation. Without the dust it would be difficult to ascertain where and how the wave was traveling, but thankfully they didn't have to worry about that. This debris dust pinpointed the speed and direction of the attack, which Lunar Knight used to time his own counteract.

Leaping upwards, Lunar Knight quickly hooked one of his grapples onto one of the few still standing streetlights and swung towards the beast. Once he reached its back, he used his double blades, which sprung out of his lower arms. Quickly he slashed this beast, it's back acting like concrete, and doing more damage to his blades then anything else.

A faint scratch ripped across the beast's back, yet the blades seemed to had been dulled already. Angrily the beast grabbed ahold of the grappled hook, which was still attached to the streetlight and swung Lunar Knight through a store's glassed window. It was uncertain how he fared, despite him barreling through the shattering window.

His next target would be Quiver.

Quiver rushed towards one of the cars that was about to be toppled over by the wave. She jumped on top of it and as it was lifted onto the ground, used it to propel herself over the wave.

Landing on the ground, Quiver aimed an arrow towards a nearby fire hydrant. As the water was unleashed, she aimed an ice arrow at the water.

Moments had passed since Lunar Knight had been thrown into a store's window, yet he didn't seem to be rising or exiting to continue the fight. In fact, where he was remained uncertain. As soon as Quiver fired an arrow, the behemoth had already passed, and charged towards her.

The ice was of little significance, not impeding the beast at all. With such brute strength, they slapped Quiver's bow out of her hands, it tumbling and flying far away. There was only one last pest to deal with, the archer.

Grabbing her by the shirt, it growled and snarled angrily, its hot and steamy breath blowing forcefully into their face, before it tossed Quiver into a trashed police car's door. Such power would stop any human from continuing the fight, or at the least from being effective.

Having wasted enough time, the beast turned its back on the archer in plain sight. Walking and stomping away, as the streets vibrated with each tremor, the beast began to leave the smoky and fire-ridden scene.

Quiver tried to get out of the way as the creature went to grab her. However, such efforts were futile. She had little time to react other than to pull her face away from the steamy breath. The next thing she knew, she was being tossed.

Her body slammed into the police car. She groaned in pain and was completely immobile as she watched the creature leave.

As Quiver was in too much pain to pursue the beast, even if an act was futile, the behemoth began to stomp its way out of the battle-ridden street. Noisy and flashing sirens from ambulances and police vehicles began to approach the area, yet had not fully arrived.

Pulling himself out of the wreckage of the shop he was hurled in, Lunar Knight dusted off the glass and debris that was littered over his armor and clothing, before exiting via the shattered window. While there were a few small fires, toppled roads and buildings, the terrorists were dealt with and the beast was leaving.

Seeing no other reason to stick around, he began to depart, but that was before he tossed Quiver's bow towards her. In her fatigued state, it would be some time before she could turn to meet who returned her weapon, or he assumed as much. With that he was gone, the police, medics, and firefighters would deal with the dead fight.

___

Eventually the daily life of Little Springs began to settle once more, as the sun was setting. The fires were all doused, most of the damage was cleared by a variety of emergency dispatch groups who worked diligently, and the buildings and streets were tapped and barricaded off until repairs could be made.

Most local news stations focused on this intense situation, they simply deemed as Little Springs Bank. Images from before, after, and during the situation were all broadcasted, while a number of different anchormen both on the set and on the spot discussed what had transpired.

One of them was the local news-woman, who was explaining the situation detail by detail. "Today Little Springs has witnessed another tragedy." They remarked, before glaring at an image of Quiver battling against the terrorists and behemoth. "And look at this. Here is our town favorite super hero." They stated, in a sarcastic tone.

"Or should I say super zero? For all the fame and glory she earns, they can't even do their job right." Quickly they pointed at her mask and costume. "And what is with these costumed masks? Could've fooled me, they look just like the terrorists they fight."

When the medics, police, firefighters, or anyone that would take an interest in Quiver's well being examined the area, they found absolutely no trace of the archer. Her bow, quiver, and self had completely vanished.

Though Quiver had not traveled very far. She remained in the shadows as she tried to regain her bearings before eventually departing.

____

With night settling in, Anaea found herself in one of the many Chinese restaurants located around the city. Seeing as she expected to be on watch tonight with these recent events, there was absolutely no point in going home today. Not until her work was finished anyway.

The television was on with yet another newscaster completely slandering the superheroes. Namely, her. It would be a lie to say this wasn't starting to get to her. Not to mention, she was the main scapegoat and that wasn't very fun either.

But there was nothing she could really do. The only way this would get solved is if people were convinced that what she was doing was good. In short: she needed to catch these guys and find out what was going on. Even then though, she had a feeling this would take a lot of time before people actually started to take them seriously.

"Which brings me to another question." The newscaster replied, microphone nearby, as the cameraman zoomed in to her close up. "Why are they hiding behind these masks? Are they in fact related to these acts of terror?"

After the question was asked rhetorically, the television and camera switched to film during the fight between Quiver, the terrorists, and the beast. All of which the archer was having difficulty with. "Does it seem like this hero is trying to take the enemies down? It makes you wonder hm?"

A nearby patron of the restaurant, who was watching the news, slowly brought their attention back to their meal. "It sure does."

"She's got a point." Replied another.

Anaea didn't say anything. She merely listened. But she could feel herself gripping the Chinese box more tightly.

"Eh, that's a load of bologna. They keep their masks on because they don't want dumb broads like her bothering them," an older man shrugged off.

"He's got a point." One of the patrons chimed in again. "What are you, a parrot?" Asked one of friends, who was dining with him. "That old man is senile, we oughta watch out for these masked crooks!"

Elsewhere as the sun was setting, Little Springs and the demolished section of its bank began to be painted in a bright lush red. Several construction crews were nearby, as they relocated debris and objects, as well as making temporary repairs.

As the vault was too large and heavy, it remained where it had been thrown. The back had sunk into the street, crushing and cratering the asphalt. The side where the door was, which was upright and at the top. Two officers stood nearby, each with a cup of coffee.

"The seals on the door were never breached." One of the officers stated. "So that means all the dough is still inside?" His partner asked, astonished at such news. "Then what the hell were they after?"

Elsewhere, running their fingers across the jagged wall and hole where a vault once resided, Lunar Knight exited the premise before a patrolling guard passed by. Once he was in the dark, Lunar Knight used the communication link within his leather arm guard, forwarding a typed message to Quiver.

It read, 'Little Springs Docks, 12am' Clearly indicating that they needed to meet up at that specific location for some reason. What reason it was, was not specified.

"Senile? Senile?! What are you stupid and never seen a superhero picture before? Never seen Zorro?" the man continued.

As Anaea continued to listen to the bickering, she heard a low beep coming from her purse. Calmly, she opened her purse and peeked inside. She didn't take out whatever had beeped for fear of others seeing it. But she could clearly see a message written on it.

"Little Springs Docks, 12am."

Anaea shut her purse. Well, at least she had a clear mission now.

_____

It was late and the docks were quiet. There were a few boats who were still delivering cargo but for the most part the workers had left for the day.

The place was covered with large crates containing who knew what. Cranes loomed over the area but none of them held onto anything dangerous. That had been taken care of before the workers had left.

Quiver remained in the shadows, hiding among the various crates as she waited for any sign of the Lunar Knight.

Although the dock remained mostly inactive, as all work had practically been shut down for the night, there were still a few crews for the routine night shift. However, there weren't as many as there is during the day. The moonlight shone above, brightening the still and calm waters below.

"You're later." A voice replied from the shadows, as Lunar Knight walked into her sight. Observing the communication link within his leather arm-guard, he checked the clocks timing. Sure enough it was five minutes after twelve.

Quiver smirked.

"Actually been here for a while looking for you. And avoiding them."

Quiver nodded to the ground. There were a couple of stragglers. She wasn't sure if this had anything to do with what Lunar Knight wanted or if these were just some petty, potential criminals up to no good. If they weren't part of the plan, Quiver guessed drugs were involved but she couldn't be sure.

"I called you here, far away, so we could discuss that thing you ran into earlier." Lunar Knight remarked, before shuffling through a bag of contents. "When you were dealing with the bank heist, I was doing some research."

Slowly he pulled out a syringe, there appeared to be small traces of some gooey liquid left, the glass vial was cracked in several places, yet remained intact, and the metal needle end had been bent. It didn't appear that this needle had been found in a hospital or any safe building.

Lunar Knight gently squeezed and pushed a few drops out of the tip, so that it could spread onto a spot on the nearby crate. Despite this box and wood now being void of life, the liquid still hardened a very small piece of the wood to a faint, yet jagged and rough surface.

"This liquid is what created that abomination." He replied, as he hand it over to Quiver to investigate herself. "Don't get that on any of your fingers."

Quiver examined the liquid with interest now that she saw what it did.

"Have you performed any tests?" she asked. Her eyes then focused she the surface the liquid created on the crates. She gently rubbed her hand over it.

"Only on a small insect," Lunar Knight immediately replied. "It completely hardened it into a rock-like creature." He then handed Quiver a tabloid, which had been sullied, yet the ink and writing was still legible. There was a portrait of Corporal Hunt before and after his arrest, and above was the title 'The Hunt is On'

Below was a very detailed writing, and a headline which read as 'Losing and being striped of everything, this man has one last piece to give up, the truth.'

"Clearly someone didn't want him talking." Lunar Knight replied, "And so they did this to him."

"I don't know if it's actually him, but given the research I did it's likely." Lunar Knight replied to Quiver's second question, not bothering to answer her first just yet.

"I'm also no doctor or scientist. I merely messaged you so that I could bring forth what I know." Slowly he paused, contemplating something. "However, whether this is Hunt or if someone wanted to keep him quiet doesn't explain why they orchestrated a bank heist and left empty handed."

Quiver desperately wished to retort Lunar Knight's comments. But she held back this time.

"Maybe the bank heist was a distraction for something else they're up to," Quiver offered. "Though, normally you'd think they would have followed through if it was a distraction."

Quiver contemplated for a moment.

"Have you been watching the news lately?" she asked and it seemed rather sudden given her silence. She knew what she was thinking was a stretch and yet she couldn't help but think there was a possible connection.
