What I Learned From the Avatar Extras
Okay so this is open to anyone who has seen the Avatar Extras. For those of you who don't know, the Avatar Extras are just little bubbles that appear as an episode is playing sometimes on Nicktoons (perhaps the new DVDs will have this feature as well?)
Anyway, this one interesting fact I learned I wanted to share. If I (or anyone else) comes across interesting facts, post them!
Apparently, the captain of Azula's ship (who appears only in the first episode of season two) was originally going to be vaporized by Azula right after he accidentally revealed to Zuko and Iroh that they were prisoners.
And then the creators realized that would be too intense for the show XD.
I also just missed one mentioned something about Momo and Appa having a relationship O_o. I'm guessing that was just a joke though...unless Momo is a girl...or something...

Aang calls Momo and boy, why else would he have a shaggy beard in his nightmare dream?

Re: What I Learned From the Avatar Extras
i dont know, maybe they all just assumed he was a boy. I've done that before with my pets...I called a rabbit I had a girl when it was a boy...XD.

Re: What I Learned From the Avatar Extras
The firebender who made the fire dragon in the fire festival in Jeong Jeong the deserter has the most back story for any character only appearing in one episode.
Unfortunately, I can't remember any of it, except that his "taming the dragon" move is what got him famous in the fire nation.

Re: What I Learned From the Avatar Extras
I don't think I've ever seen them do those. I think I saw it once during the Thanksgiving marathon they had for season 1, but I'm not too sure. I could just be dreaming that part up.

It's only nicktoons I believe, pretty sure it's not on Nickelodeon.

The desert in season two is called the Si Wong Desert which means 'Desert of the Dead' or something.

That's actually pretty good information.
I remember seeing one of them and it was stupid.

Re: What I Learned From the Avatar Extras
yeah, some of them are pretty stupid bubbles. though some are funny.
there was one for the episode where the group goes to Omashu for the first time and it said 'some fans call this episode a 'filler' because it does not further the main plot of the series. They're as crazy as the earth king.' XD
and another one for the fortuneteller said 'some fans thought this meant Katara would end up with Zuko. Too bad for them.' =p

Awesome for the second one! Stick it to em!
But I remember you telling me about the first one...you said it was The Great Divide though. The Earth King episode was actually a pretty necessary episode if I have to say so.

Re: What I Learned From the Avatar Extras
i think the Great Divide was an actual filler. the bubbles were saying the Earth King episode is not really a filler but fans call it a filler. I think that's what they were getting at anyway. and I wouldnt be surprised if they had a comment about the Great Divide being a filler. but i honestly don't remember what it said.

Originally, Appa was going to be taken earlier in Season 2.

in the episode 'the serpant's pass', the scene where the platypus bear crushes cabbage man's cabbages, you can see a slugworm fly out of one of the cabbages.

the bubble said you have to put it in slow motion to really see it.

originally, Pong was not the only one living across from the gaang in Ba Sing Se. There was supposed to be another neighbor called Ping XD.

The picture of Lu Tin from Tales of Ba Sing Se reads "General Iroh, I will see you when victory is obtained. Your loving son Lu Tin."
rough translation, anyway. I couldnt type it fast enough XD.
