It was from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. I'm just watching it so I'll know why so many people have been obsessing over it. The point I was referencing was when at one point the cast ends up reliving the same 2 weeks over 15500 times (for a total time of just over 594 years). The anime decided to to this the retarded way and show everyone 8 loops. first normal loop. second though 7th are redone with one new scene added in about them finding out about the loop, and the eighth one ends it. The story ark is known as endless eight. Aptly named if anyone bothered to watch more that two loops.

Yeah, the new season. Once it's dubbed, watch only the first two episodes, Skip the next six episodes, then watch the rest. Trust me, you'll barely miss a thing.
