^ I thought this was the book which continued the story, so it's the other one? Good to know!

^ yeah no, it's not that one. i thought the same thing originally. that one just has comics that were Nick Magazine all together.

Oh, well I'd probably still pick up both if they were available somewhere.

Re: Avatar Graphic Novels
im more interested in the graphic novel. mostly because I have the 'cannon' comics from Nick Magazine already.
i just hope the story doesn't turn out to be something like Love Never Dies where it was an unnecessary sequel that ended up being more like a fanfiction than an actual continuation. thats my only worry really.

Re: Avatar Graphic Novels
Well I don't have any of the comics. They also have the comic strips that came with the small dvd sets, not the box set. They're not just the comics from Nicktoons magazines or whatever. It's a lot of other comics and ones they didn't mass produce for consumers.

Re: Avatar Graphic Novels

the ones in the Nick magazine between season 2 and 3 are pretty good.

Re: Avatar Graphic Novels
I'm just going to say this now: I call dibs on a fanfiction with our characters centering around The Promise plot.
The wheels in my ahead have been turning since I read the spoilers of the first book :p

Re: Avatar Graphic Novels
That's coming out soon and I'm looking forward to them. And I got too much to worry about with the current big RP we're in to worry about making a FF about the aftereffects of the war.

Re: Avatar Graphic Novels
i want them to release them already so we can have Korra. I have a feeling a big reason Korra doesn't have a release date yet is because they want the comics out before Korra. and the comics are going to take a pretty long time to come out...the second one comes out in June I think.
which i dont get why they dont just release them closer to one another. its not like reading a graphic novel takes 4 months :p

Re: Avatar Graphic Novels
I really doubt that's the reason why they're holding off on Korra. Nick is in control of the episode flow right? Don't you remember they released the Sozin book before the finale.
Someone told me that the whole thing was leaked. I remember you telling me that a few images were leaked, but I didn't know the entire thing was. Not sure if this is true or not on account that I haven't found any solid evidence...plus I only have like a few minutes before I have to leave for work.

How recently was this? I feel sorry for all the people who work on the Avatar series. Some asshole has the nerve to keep leaking everything.

Re: Avatar Graphic Novels
Pretty recently.
I don't think the leaks would be so prominent if the avatar community wasn't pissed as is. A lot of fans are kind of mad that they didnt even give a release date last week when they were showing all the new shows coming out for 2012. I could be wrong, but I have a feeling the rest of the Promise was leaked out of spite.

Re: Avatar Graphic Novels
Spite or not, that's just acting like a child. Sure the Avatar group is a big company, bu it is still their work. To upload it without their permission should be seen in the same light as art theft.

Re: Avatar Graphic Novels
^ oh i agree.
though, i think posting something illegally online is seen as worse than art theft.

Would you want some ass uploading something you did, without your permission?

Re: Avatar Graphic Novels
^ it depends on the circumstances. but regardless, what i was trying to say was companies see illegal piracy as worse than art theft at the moment. and since so many companies are against it, illegal piracy is possibly a greater offense than art theft. in my opinion. so they should be seen for what they are: illegally uploading stuff.

To me it always seemed like the two were the same, just with different words used.

Re: Avatar Graphic Novels
isnt art theft more where you take a piece of artwork and then say it's yours when it really isn't?

Re: Avatar Graphic Novels
Not exactly. It can also be providing the audience of whatever it is with the stuff. That's the creators job (well not exactly, but you know what I mean)

Re: Avatar Graphic Novels
I don't know if you have but I think you should read Zuko's prequel graphic novel for the TLA movie. It's a really good graphic novel and it makes me wish the rest of the movie was as good as the graphic novel :/
