I'm not sure if you've been checking out dA or what not but you did say a while ago you wanted me to post art I was doing. Well, I've been posting my art class homework on dA and tumblr.

So...yeah, I'll just post it here too I guess.

I also did fix up homework 1 based on my teacher's suggestion. It was just a slight adjustment though....but i havent taken a picture of it or anything.

Nice work, I'm curious what the guidelines for the second project/image were. What did you have to make? It looks like a boat in the ocean, but I'm not entirely sure.

Also nice work with the detail to depth and distance with the third drawing.

the second project was just to listen to a piece of music and do a variation of lines/shapes. she wanted it to be abstract.

so i listened to the sorcerer's apprentice. that was about as abstract as i could get.

I don't think I've ever had a project that fit into that guideline...interesting. I'd probably pick a Civil War song :P

Yeah, we saw the homework of the other drawing class (the professor i would have had) and they had a ton of homework. like, 15 sketches for the week.

my professor was like 'omg that's a lot of homework'.

we just get 1 big drawing and 1 sketchbook drawing a week. and experiential component which is 16 little drawings over the course of the semester.

Since this is about art projects/homework, I thought I'd add one of mine here. Although this is a few years later, it's still from my drawing class lol.

The fading is from the shitty camera I used to take this picture, the graphite detail is a lot better in person for all the items. This is some of my reenacting gear.

Your work is great, the hardest critic will always be yourself. Your figure drawing is especially good with the angles and details. The human body is one of the more difficult forms to work with.

well, my professor did say she liked my composition of the first drawing :p

though, if you had me draw the rest of the body, it probably would have sucked XD. i can only draw figure drawing well sometimes XD

and i also found out my teacher is a Doctor Who fan because she saw my TARDIS drawings next to the Doctor :p just saying.

I was going to but it was really hard to look at my hand and draw it at the same time.

Of course, I was being a total dumbass and didnt think to just look at a picture.

No, I am. I'm saying it was hard to do certain poses with just one hand to get the angle I wanted. I should have just taken a picture or something.

That's true, but your professor wants you to be able to draw your own hand. Picture or not, keeping a pose while drawing it is really good practice. For hands at least.

Actually, she wanted different hands if we could in addition to our own. But you know, I didn't really think things through.....

.....so I did a contour drawing of Oswald's hand :p lol XD
