Yeah I saw that a moth ago or something, thought I'd share it here.

I got Handbreak working for my PC...I don't know if it will work with other DVDs cause this one is pretty old but whatever.

Did you have to bypass anything? Cause you better be careful what you do with it now then.

you have to bypass the copyright protection on the DVDs.

but i dont use the program for anything illegal. just editing projects that are for fun/school/practice. because i think that if i bought the DVD, i should be able to use the footage on the DVD. so now, if we want to make Avatar gifs for our site, I can get us the footage.

because, the thing is, the technology my school has rips the DVDs in real time. handbrake doesn't do that so it takes a LOT less time to get footage off a DVD. this would have been really helpful when i was working on my anime documentary @_@. plus, the stuff the school has never works half the time =p. it's only good if you want to rip off a VHS because they don't really make those anymore...and i have well over 50 VHSs with no DVD counterpart to them.

Once you're out of school, I'd be cautious with that thing.

^ ill probably never use it after school =p unless i end up doing some sort of criticism thing like those webshows i see popping all over the place. which i doubt will happen.

I don't watch That 70s Show that much, but I caught one of the episodes on Nick last night. Had to find this scene today, was funny as hell.

of course, I'll have to figure out what to do about the passport thing since I'm the only one that's got one in the family XD but i'll cross that bridge when i come to it.

Well if it comes down to it, you might have to go solo. Yeah doesn't sound as fun, but if your family can't get the passports then there's not many other options.

Will your friend get an all paid expense trip as well? Cause they might be game for that then.

if you win, the trip is for 4. so yeah, 4 people would get the all expense paid trip.

i checked though and it looks like it might be doable to get the passport after the winners are announced.

I remember when you told me about a Psych episode where they made it about the Civil War. Something about one of the guys being strict and authentic and the others just goofing off.

yeah i tried to find a clip from the psych episode but all i found was their psych-out moment from the episode which isnt as good as some of the other ones they've done.

Heh, I don't know anything about Psych, but I wouldn't mind catching that episode. It's a murder mystery show right? So what kind of murder or whatever were they researching?
