^no they're not brother and sister. Johnny Depp is saying they form a brother/sister type of relationship where they become protective of one another. I have a feeling though that Tim Burton doesn't want any of the actors mentioning Hatter and Alice are cannon because apparently someone asked him if they were at Comic Con and he wouldn't answer the question. I have also heard "spoilers" that they are indeed together and kiss at least once. So, I'm not really going to believe what anyone says until I see the film. It's too contradictory. I am going to still hope Alice and Hatter are a pairing by the end of the film though ^_~.

from my understanding, the Lewis Carroll's family (if he still has any living ancestors) have lost the rights and Alice in Wonderland is own by no one meaning everyone gets free dibs on it. don't take my word for it though, this is just what someone told me on ff.net because they wanted me to publish my Alice x Hatter story. i personally find it hard to believe it's true and im sure someone could sue for that XD.

I'm sure that Disney or whoever is making this film would find a good enough reason to sue someone using the name for a profit.

^ i dont think you can. disney doesnt have the rights to Lewis Carrol's characters. And the only reference is "Mad Batter". It's not like the picture looks like any Disney interpretation of Hatter. so the only people who can sue are whoever owns the rights to the original work Alice in Wonderland. Everyone else can only complain about it but can't take legal action. From my understanding of it anyway.

You obviously don't know much about the cruel business world...lol I'm sure they would find a way to pull some strings.

If it doesn't make sense that's ok. It's an online game I played, well I still do sometimes. There are a lot of idiots who play who do exactly what these guys portray in real life. I found it pretty darn funny being so true to what happens on the Colony, so I avoid that place.

Just a small, but random, anecdote from my life:

Last night, I went out clubbing with my friends. At one point during the night, maybe around midnight or so, the music sort of died down so that the emcee could give a few shoutouts (there was a bachelorette party going on there, plus 2 people's brithday parties, plus he did the usual "all the pretty ladies in the house raise your hands", and so forth). I looked around to see where he was talking from, cuz the dancefloor was pretty small and I knew the DJ was not on the same floor as the dancers (there are 2 floors in this club. Upstairs is more of a lounge-y area with a balcony where you can look down onto the dancefloor). Finally I found the guy, standing upstairs next to the 2 djs. He was chinese/korean/japanese/east-asian (i don't know), wearing a red shirt with a black tie, and guess what? he had his hair tied up in a "wolf-tail" just like Sokka! I couldn't help smiling sheepishly at myself when I had this realization, lol!

Nothing much happened on my birthday, it wasn't a big celebration or anything. My mother baked a cake and bought Chinese food and i opened my presents. I got a lot of books, but not much else. (My real gift comes in a week, it's a PS2 and a 64g memory card for it.

Oh very nice! Yeah I remember you telling me about your PS being broken, or some piece being irreplaceable.

So what flavor of cake is it? I always liked the delicious cakes and cooked meals the most about parties. It's something for your taste buds to look forward to.
