yeah but you can make black look good :p or get a really dark red.

Would that work? I mean the last time with the black, it felt very unwelcoming. I know it did, we grew accustomed to it.

But after changing the color scheme and going back to Bright's old site, wow just wow. It's no wonder no one joined it, it looked very unwelcoming. Like morbid dark.

well you can't do all black. you'd have to do black and red. or a dark red. with gold or orange.

well, i think the color scheme should always match the banner. Which was why I suggesting tinting the banner. then, you could pick whatever colors you wanted and the banner would match.

you don't have to do black but I would at least do reds, oranges, yellows to match the fire.

look this is what i think:

i think the banner should match the colors. but i think the colors needs to be more welcoming. if you can't get the banner to match the colors, then i would say the colors need to be more welcoming regardless. brown isn't very attractive

i think it compliments the banner better and it's just as welcoming and more easy to see.

of course, i am also biased with blue. but i just think blue in general is a more welcoming coloring. that, or a lighter palette of whatever color you choose.
