You know those cool images where someone does a very tall picture that keeps scaling above showing more of the world?

Well that is what I'm doing, only with mountains and clouds. Sort of like those stretching skies from the Air Temples.

...I tell you, they did something with the F key, I can hardly type it without hitting it hard...

maybe they jammed it by accident. sometimes my keys get jammed but then they get un-jammed and they work again.

I'm going to have to figure out the correct dimensions to, otherwise it'll just chop it up into tinier images like it's doing with this one or the other one.

This is a sample background picture they provide you with. I'm using it for a what you see is what you get effect. I haven't even worked on that image yet.

I wanted to make sure it was possible before I wasted time for nothing.

Sample 1 was a little too dark for my tastes, I couldn't see anything...this is much better.

Alright, most of the experiment tests have been done, so I'm going to start working on the background wallpaper today.

I don't know. It works great in the homepage. Though I forgot about all the other sections. I don't know how I feel (or others) how it repeats itself. I guess I'll see with that.

I worked a lot on it, but for some reason, it decided to upload it in a very blurry and fuzzy resolution. Whatever, it is what it is.

So basically it's the mountains that scroll up to the different colors of the blue sky, until it gets almost to white.

Edit: After checking it out through some other computers and whatnot, it's not bad. I was just disappointed that it didn't work the way I wanted it to, but it still turned out different and interesting in its own way.

Might be a few things to tweak within the document and the gray blue borders, but I'll wait to see what you say. I really need feedback on it, since it's a pain trying to do it all just with my assumptions.

it looks like a gradient to me. i don't see mountains.

maybe can you send me a link of the image you're using so I can see what you were kind of going for? i dont think what it is now is bad but if you're saying it's not really what you were looking for then i don't really know how you could improve it because i don't know what the original image is.

have you tried just making the image shorter?

I've tried making it bigger and shorter. It's just not working because everyone's computers and browsers will have different lengths.

I was testing it on my two PC and laptop to get accurate dimensions from them. It's a freaking pain in the ass. By the way, what do you think of the image anyway?

So you're not seeing anything, even in the larger thread forums? Actually try entering the first few pages of the FF thread. You might be able to see it there.

If all else fails (do the different gradients of blue look interesting?)

im trying to think of another solution...there has to be a way to set it where the image you want is automatically at the bottom and it kind of cuts off at the top....

maybe that's how you do it: is there a way to set it so each page starts cutting the image off at the top rather than the bottom?

Maybe, I have no idea. I'd ask the forumotion support group, but they hardly ever reply back.

So if it works the way it should, how do you feel about it as being our permanent wallpaper/background? Did you like the other one color light blue background that we were using or this more?

Also how do you feel about the other border blue, the darker gray blue. Like the boxes where our posts are.

i like the darker blue where our posts are. otherwise, i can't use Ai's font =p. it's already hard to see but if it was lighter I think it would make it worse XD

i think both the picture and solid background are equally good. there isn't one i prefer over the other.
