Previous Game, and yes you kind of have to.
- Spoiler:
The first installment, Fire Emblem for the GC focused on Ike and the Griel Mercenaries struggles during the Crimean War. It then skips to the second installment for the Wii where it focuses on 3 years after the war. With the tyrannical leader overthrown, there was no one to claim lead to the enemy of the continents Daien. The world then goes into chaos without control and the story focuses on every lands struggles which resulted in the aftermath of the same war. It gets pretty deep.

^ aww man. it also says it's really difficult which means i will be dreadful at it......it looks cool though. maybe ill just watch the cutscenes =D.

You won't get the full story that way...you'll just be like WTF am I looking at?
I did it one Normal first, thinking I was on easy. It was tough. Now I did it on Easy right now...and I'm blazing through the freaking levels! You just need to have some brainpower evident and it'll be easy. It's like chess, but more fun and easier I suppose.

Not really, most of the storytelling is done during the battle and then durign little cutscenes that aren't CGI, the nicely rendered clips are a bonus and do storyteller, but not to the length of the other stuff.

that's interesting. ive never heard of a game that relies on telling the story heavily through battles. stinks for me though XD.

And to answer your question mysterious person, the only thing I usually count is sheep but that's when I'm trying to fall asleep. I don't really count blessings since I'd much rather live in the moment rather than wasting time counting stuff before my demise. *goes to hide.*

The bell tolls for L. It's a really sad moment in the anime. And the hourglass stops for Hatter because he murdered Time by accident.

i was mostly referring to the song. its so Ai.
umm well there's a lot of little things. Like the Thief from the Thief and the Cobbler has a lot of sarcastic thoughts but rarely talks and it reminded me of Roister. Except Roister is so much better because the Thief was horrible in the version I watched XD. But it was the same concept. And Lee reminds me of Naruto sometimes.
