Re: Two Things To Show
Nice job on the blending. The different color shades really gives it another dimension. It isn't as flat now and is interesting! It really made an improvement with the grass.
There could be a little more tweaks in the blending of the sky, just to give it some more color and you might also want to consider not aligning everything in a neatly order. For instance you have the tree in the middle and the sun and moon to the sides, almost at the same length.
Trust me, if you move them (if you still can) to different sections (but still in the same area) the audiences eyes will wander around the picture more.
It's really coming along though, good job.

Re: Two Things To Show
I was just suggesting some ideas, but keeping everything in an aligned pattern won't allow the audience to see the whole work. It's just the way the human brain works. Make things less organized and they'll have to wander more to make the picture out.

^ i know i have a huge problem making things look messy and 'out of order'. i had trouble doing the stars and 'gumdrops' XD.

Re: Two Things To Show
It's not making things messy, it's about making things seem like they weren't intentionally placed there. I have that problem to sometimes. What I do is just stop overthinking it and just place some down randomly. I go overboard sometimes and also add too much, a few things with planned disorganization or nature's organization can really help.

oddly, when i place things 'randomly' it ends up being in order XD. i have to stop and think about it to make sure it's out of order.

Re: Two Things To Show
Actually just by looking at the picture that shows up here, it's just as interesting by itself as the full piece. I don't know, I thought I'd say that. It works all together or alone.

Re: Two Things To Show
so does that mean i should leave the tree where it is? i actually tried to move the moon and sun but i can't. unless i remember how i got the moon's glow...which i can't remember what i did XD.

Re: Two Things To Show
Are you doing this on computer or by hand? If by hand you'd just have to restart. You can also crop the image and then move it around. You need to tell me what you're using before I can tell you what you can do.

Re: Two Things To Show
Ok so are you doing things in separate layers or are they all in the same layer?

Re: Two Things To Show
separate but i made a stupid mistake of putting the sun and the moon's glow in the same layer.

Re: Two Things To Show
Just copy and paste the same layer. Delete one from each layer and tada! Now you have them both in separate layers.

Ah come on, don't be so hard on yourself. I know a thing or two, so just ask me if you need some help.

Re: Two Things To Show
^ it was stupid. ive had photoshop elements 4.0 long enough to know that you can duplicate a layer =p.
anyway, i tried moving some stuff around. but to be honest, i prefer the original. maybe thats just cause i like things orderly XD.

Re: Two Things To Show
Did you move the tree? I can't really tell by observing both the different links. Well I was just suggesting an idea, sometimes if I really like something, when working on projects, I have to change it if no one else agrees. I might not like that, but sometimes I rework their ideas.
You might also want to tone down the brightness with the sun, it's just a tad too bright. If it's your intention for the sun to suck the audience in the most then keep it that way, but if you intend for it to be a piece with a silent focal point then just dull down the suns color. It kind of hides the orbs you have around it due to it's brightness.

Re: Two Things To Show
It might just be me, but keeping the moon and sun aligned and the tree moved slightly to the right seems a bit odd. You might want to either move everything or keep them in a fixed pattern. If that makes any sense.

Re: Two Things To Show
^ i think it just looks weird moving the tree. i can try moving the sun and moon to see how that looks.

Re: Two Things To Show
Yeah the tree is perfect where it is, if you want to move something you should try the sun and moon. It's just the layout if things are a little not perfect that people tend to want to view it more.

Re: Two Things To Show
It's a lot better with the minor adjustments. It could be just me though. You should really ask others. Try your sisters or parents for advice to if you can't get anyone online to be bothered.
I also thought of something. Like you could have the sun rising and the moon already where it is. Or the opposite way. It's just a suggestion. You could just save this copy and try that with another and see if you like it that way.
