Forum Colors
Alright I want to ask this question again. I'm not going to do this right away, but I wanted to know your thoughts on this.
We have two active members now, so I wouldn't mind hearing both your thoughts on the color choices of the forum. I'm not wild about them myself, but I kept it this way because I honestly don't have the time with school and all.
And also because I tried changing the freaking forum colors numerous times, but they never seemed to work real well.
...So what are your thoughts on the current colors, colors that may work better, or anything in between. And no LS, blue just isn't really working. I think you might be the only one who likes it.

Re: Forum Colors
Could you change the colour to match the Avatar logo? Blue background and Black ...um I don't know what the word is but the secondary colour black?.
I think the Forum looks really fresh like this but most forums I visit have Black and green if that helps? As all colours show up well on black .

Re: Forum Colors
When this forum was first created by the original owner, it was black. Well all black and it just looked way to dark. A lot of forums I frequent often have a bright white color or something, that's why I tried this layout.
Still I don't know, something feels like it's missing. Could you provide me some of the forums that you're referring to. Sometimes helps to have something to go by.

Re: Forum Colors
Not right now , but I'll find a list and post them here. If you type in * insert* RP in goggle most sites will have dark backgrounds. I think it helps with colour in writing as lime and cyan tend to very hard to read on white ( though I just highlight it so...)
I quite like the the site set-up as is to be honest. what colours has it been?

Re: Forum Colors
Well I would post a link to our older site, but we got the forum company to take it down. We moved because our old Admin left and we couldn't do anything with the site, even moderate.
It was like really dark. It just felt too gloomy to me. While we are an RP site, we also try to branch out in different discussions related to Avatar and or anything else. To me black and dark doesn't seem too inviting (at least friendly inviting)
I kept it dark black when I created this forum for the sake of comfortably with them members who transferred over, but then eventually made it a brighter gray. Then I morphed it into several different blues (because one of the only active members said it looked good, but I don't know if that was her bias of liking her favorite color...and now we're here.
If you like the colors as they are, that's good to know. It's just kind of hard when the only opinions you have to go by are your own and one other member.

Re: Forum Colors
Personally I think the colours look fine. It seems your worrying ( not the best word ) about it too much. Since you don't seem to get many members just go with the minority really. I agree The brighter colours seem more user-friendly.

Re: Forum Colors
You're right about me being concerned if it's aesthetically appeasing to other members. I don't mean like world famous art worthy, but something that's not sore on their eyes or turns them off immediately.
To me it's hard to place myself in that new member position, because with each color change, I got used to it. So I don't know if that means I actually liked it a lot. Same thing with the gloomy dark colors our original admin used. I can't even remember if I actually liked that look. I could had just wanted to merge over (because that's where all the other forum members were going)
On another thought, LS do you remember what your first thoughts of Bright's site were? We kept hopping over to different forums after Who's site took a nose dive. Eventually Bright created the complete black forum...do you remember what your thoughts were for that color and layout choice?
On another note I just checked the admin panel a few minutes ago and spotted that we had the most amount of users online capped again on Saturday 22. None of us were on, so I didn't notice it...I honestly don't know what attract or detracts members anymore.

Re: Forum Colors
Oh yeah forgot to mention, if you haven't noticed the blue wallpaper has changed slightly. Wasn't sure if you liked it or not, on account that you didn't voice your opinion one way or the other.
