Virus. bleh...
Yeah, i got a virus on my computer. its the "System defender" one. won't be on for awhile, i'm going to try to take this thing out the hard way... (it already blocked the easy way of having another program take it out...)
but you really can't say the guys didn't put a lot of effort in it when they made the eff'in thing. pain in the ass to get rid of, and they even added a bizarre sound effect when a "Virus has been found"

So wait what you downloaded one of those fake malewares? Those things are a pain to get rid of.
I use spyware doctor after Norton stopped working for me. It worked great the first year then when it was renewed for a second year it only halfway renewed itself. It would always claim "To use Norton effectively, finish verification" To which I tried to but to no avail. I tried troubleshooting it and even getting the company to help, but they were as useful as a untrained monkey. You know somethings fishy when the site doesn't have the telephone number provided. I got rid of them after being fed up with their incompetent service.
Spyware doctor was forty bucks for a full year. Once I downloaded it, it found several different viruses that Norton never even spotted. Cleaned up everything lickity split and to this day it works like a charm.

i haven't triggered this virus yet (it's poping up like hell but i don't click "download this to..." to really cause hell. and the thing with this one, until it's fixed, i can't use A N Y T H I N G to get rid of it or other viruses.

Re: Virus. bleh...
no. this would be my main computer that i use. i cannot access anything on it. i have to wait and see if it can be fixed. until then, i have to use the computer downstairs and my laptop. *(I am really hesitant to use the laptop, it's for school mostly and i don't want anything happening to it at all...)*

Re: Virus. bleh...
If it's a Mac it should be fine. Most viruses are programmed strictly for PC, there aren't many for Macs yet.
