We just normally go to my mom's side for Christmas Eve, then on Christmas Day I have my parents and sisters, and then later most of us go to another family party around the evening. It was nice, better then a few other years I think, but that was mostly because so much other stuff was leaning on my shoulders.

Did you get any neat gifts or was it mostly family a get-together? A few things I got were Rango and the Avatar comic-book series.

Gifts from who? Like, in general or from other relatives?

The family got the Xbox which was planned for a while. So I got American McGee's Alice. Then I got the sonic screwdrivers from Doctor Who, a bowtie, and some other little things. Most of which I knew about already...I don't like being in the loop with christmas presents.

My extended family never gets us gifts. But this year we ended up getting some stuff...I think it was only because of the fire to be honest.

and Clannad After Story alluded me yet again :p

Gifts from strangers of course :P Who do you think I mean?

I'm not sure if you got a new Xbox, but cool! Anyway I wouldn't recommend getting LA Noire or playing it on your system for the fact that a lot of people have complained that it killed their Xbox. I think that shitty game was what killed mine because it was fine before that. Then everything started to go downhill.

There's always your birthday for that!

No I don't mean the game disc is faulty, but that they were mass produced with some kind of bug or something. There have been enough complaints about it to, so it's possible. I'm just saying it's probably not worth risking it.

yeah but i dont get what you're saying about the game not working lol. are you saying that the disc has nothing to do with the problems people are having? so basically, if i put a disc that i know worked for one xbox, it doesn't guarantee that it will work for my xbox. or is it something else?

i mean yes, i want to play the game but i want to know what you're talking about before i make a decision. i dont want to break my xbox either :p

I'm not talking about the game disc not working for each other system, but that it's been notorious for bricking systems. If you don't know what that term is, neither did I until I looked it up, it means the system is as useful as a brick now. A big awkward brick.

A lot of people have complained about it. Like certain scenes will glitch often and or the system's fan will start to overload to compensate for a really poorly done games mechanics. You're friend was just lucky.

oh i see. so it has nothing to do with the disc itself.

which basically means if my sisters want to take the risk and break the system, they can do that after i beat Alice and Batman :p

^ Sleeping. I still haven't gotten rid of this cold. Actually, I think I have a mild case of the flu. Either way, I wont be staying up tonight. Not that I do anyway....

*Digs, dusts, and cleans the mold off of thread*

It's getting close to that holiday season again! I know that you're still working relentlessly with schoolwork, but a little downtime to enjoy the holidays is never a bad thing. I know Christmas is a ways off still, but do you have any big plans for Christmas?

Are you celebrating it with family, going somewhere new, something else? And how goes the Christmas shopping, if you do that kind of thing?

I don't know what I'm doing for Christmas this year. I only really have to buy for one person because we do secret santa at my house. I still have no idea what I'm getting that person lol.

I also got a gift for my friend.

But I'm excited for the Doctor Who Christmas Special :D

I think I recall you mentioning something about a Christmas special last year...or the year before that. Is it a repeat, or do they do a new one every year?

Also secret santa sounds cool. If all you have to do is buy for one person, I'd think up something they would actually need.
