Happy 5th Anniversary Avatar!

Yes you read the title right, it's been five years since Avatar had first aired on February 21st, 2005. Originally supposed to be released in late 2004 it was pushed back to early 2005.

I remember my first time seeing Avatar, I had no idea what it was and it was the third episode I think. The one where Aang is captured by Zuko. I only saw the last few seconds of it then afterwords it was the fourth episode where they go to the Air Temple. Still not knowing what the hell this show was or even what it was called I decided to stick through with the next episode which was coming up soon. What captured me was the animation and the way they captured the environment around them. I never seen it in any cartoon lately during that time and I was hooked to watch more. I was amazed and surprised..."Did this really come from Nick?" Was all I could think.

I remember seeing the crazy commercials and thinking "this show is going to be sweet" so my whole family planned to watch it (except for my mom). I was a little disappointed by the first episode but I decided to stick with it. I don't even remember what I didn't like about the show....I was the only one in the whole family who actually watched the rest of the episodes. And then I got my mom into it XD.

5 years already... about one and a half of those years just waiting for the third season...

when i first saw avatar... being the 11 year old i was then, i was instantly hooked into it and saw it the first two episodes in a row. i saw every episode after it, i was obsessed.

Yeah I can't remember what happened next after I saw those episodes...I'm guessing the next episode was The Earth King or whatever, where they go to Omashu and so it aired on Friday...I think. So I must had tuned in to Nick at the right time. Had I not gotten into as soon as I did, I probably wouldn't had watched it or been here on this forum doing an RP for that matter!
