No, but they're re-releasing all the boxsets in huger chunks. So instead of 13 per set it's like 30 some.

The fourth set already focuses on when they meet Chopper, at least that's what the boxart on Amazon would leave you believe.

Point is that you'll catch up to where they left off and probably be pissed because they're not up to pace yet.

but im not buying them, im borrowing them from the library so i dont care how they're being released. the 13 episode bit is better for me because otherwise im struggling to finish the boxsets.

and no, i didnt mean the fourth box set. i meant they just released that Funimation bought the fourth season. granted, they haven't recorded it yet but they did buy it. so it's coming out! at one point.

Where are you getting your information from? They haven't settled an agreement with TOEI the last time I checked. They were still negotiating.

And I know you meant the fourth season, I said that the fourth box set is the next thing they're releasing and the only thing.

Well that's good news anyway. One Piece really needs it's own thread, but because we're on different arcs, it's kind of hard to talk about it without spoiling stuff.

Just finished watching The Greatest Story Never Told. I saw that years and years ago when it was still on air, probably Toonami. I really liked the episode to, it's funny watching a misfit hero, who proves themselves in the end.

Also I remember Superman's famous line always being used during Toonami's commerical break thing. "Each of you bring something different to the table."

Pasta, turkey, gravy, you name it.

That line comes from the first episode, Initiation. And it was used as the famous dialogue whenever Toonami was about to present or air JLU.

Im watching Crisis on Two Earths right now.

Is it just me or does the alternate version of Batman and the alternate version of Wonder Woman (or Super Girl or whatever) look a lot like two of the heroes in Watchmen?

I've never watched that movie or show, so I can't really tell you. I did like his mechanized batsuit, that was pretty badass looking.

So what did you think of the movie?

^ oh i didnt see Watchmen either. i read the comic and found it to be rather depressing so i never went and saw the movie.

I thought it was good. It was interesting to say the least. And I found it pretty fitting that Batman's counterpart would be the one who decides to destroy all worlds in existence. Because really, Batman is so unstable as a good guy, there's no telling what he would do as a villain :p

I never really considered Batman unstable. He's pretty levelheaded in my opinion. Sure his methods of retrieving information can be shaky, but who cares the villain deserves it :P

Batman is fairly level headed considering his background but I'd say he's still pretty unstable. He is, after all, a rich guy running around a city dressed up as a bat. but that's just me :p

If you're going to go that route, what about Superman? A guy who flies around and wears his underwear on the outside. Or some dude decked in bright red, with Hermes like horns at the end.

If you want to get technical all superhero and most characters in a lot of shows look asinine (if in real life,) but because they are toons or comics, they look cool.

Re: Justice League

Post  Loyal Subject on Fri Nov 25, 2011 10:34 pm

^ i was kidding about the bat thing.

but if you really want me to get into it, i think part of what makes Batman unstable (compared to the rest of them) is not only his tormented past but he is by far the darkest character of them all. he fights crime for revenge to the point where he puts Batman and Batman's duties first, almost obsessively. that vengeance can easily consume him. not to mention, from my understanding, most of Batman's villains came to be because of Batman himself. i.e. Batman's psychotic enemies are a product of his own unstable tendencies. so if his products can easily go off the deep end, i'd say Batman is on the cusp of it.

then again, this is just from what i've heard and my understanding of it all. i dont pretend to know everything about comics :p
